Thank you! I am finding that some of my all time favorite vintage Coach bags were made in Hungary. I have been collecting them lately. I would like to learn more about the Hungary factory. I learned about the upside down "G" in some of the bags from the Purse Forum. I have always been obsessed with Gypsies (Romani) in Hungary known for their leather skills among other skills. I wonder if Coach had Romani employees at that time. That would be awesome if a gypsy made my bag. Far fetched, but not impossible

Except for the original NYC location, Coach has never released any details about any of their factories. I assume they hired the best local leather crafters they could find. Saving a few pennies by hiring cheap help wasn't on their agenda until the move to China and points east.

Got this from Coach Outlet store.

Can someone please help me authenticate this purse? I bought some things for people as Mothers day gifts and would really like to know something before they receive their items.

Item: Authenticated Vintage Coach Leather Purse 9013
Listing number: 121634734
Seller and site where listed: Shopgoodwill
Link: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/121634734

Comments: This looks like an Emmie Flap (or Emily) bag but it is listed as style number 9013 (the bogus "COA" says 9018.) They don't show the creed or the back of the female turnlock and I know that these bags have been faked in the past, what is your opinion? Thanks!

Can this be deleted I though it would add on my previous post?!

You can only edit a post by using the Edit button within 60 minutes or less of the original post. And only the Moderators can delete posts.

And if you bought it directly from www.Coachoutlet.com with EXACTLY that URL for the site addy, why would you need it authenticated? You're buying it directly from Coach. If there is anything else between the www and the .com, that's when you may have a problem, there are many fakes sites using URLs similar to the real Coach site.

The "authentication" is from Entrupy which means it's basically useless. They DID manage to get the correct style number but without a good creed and serial photo there's absolutely NO WAY I would recommend buying it, with or without an Entrupy "COA". The bag itself also looks pretty beat up especially the bottom.

Yes, that's what I thought, too. I've sent them a request for more photos but GW usually isn't very responsive. The color is nice but the bag is very beat-up.

Hello

Can you please authenticate this bag for me. Purchased from Poshmark as the small compartment bag 9845, made in NYC in the 80s. Measurements are supposed to be 8 1/4 x 5 x 2 1/4 but I measure 8 in length, other measurements as the same.

Thank you!

If the bag is authentic, very few people are better at making it look beautiful than @katev!

I take back my comment about Shopgoodwill Customer Service; they responded promptly and they provided the additional photos I requested! See attached, the bag looks genuine to me, do you agree?

@BeenBurned Thank you and you are very kind, but I've got a lot of bags that still need rehabbing and so I probably don't need another challenge! I was just attracted by the pretty blue color.
