Interesting points! You are right, they are probably doing it on purpose.

Did you see that the Coach website now offers "Coach Upcrafted" and "Coach Vintage" products? Maybe they have been for a while but this is the first time I noticed. Looks like they want to be "in" the second-hand market as well.

Those are NOT "second-hand market" prices though. What they want to do is double their profits by selling the same bags twice. They probably have a higher profit margin on the vintage remakes than they did on the same bags the first time around. It's also probably inflating the prices in the second-hand vintage market.

There have been some discussions on the subject over at the Vintage Photos and Chat thread at the main Coach forum.

Hello! I found another vintage coach. Would appreciate your opinion if this is authentic. I’m concerned about the “I” in the serial/code. It was my understanding before that this letter was “skipped” from the month codes as it may be confused with the number 1 (not sure where i read that before) Anyway, here are the pics. Thank you!

Hyacinth, I see what you mean!! Definitely not second hand prices... I'll check out the discussions on the other thread - thank you for the tip.

You probably read it in the Salearea Coach Guides. But it also says that sometimes the "I" was accidently used anyway, which is the case with this one. It's a genuine Helen's Legacy duffle from 1996.

Comments: Did the casino ever come in currant? Seller said the hardware is silver. Here is a closeup of the creed. Thank you!

It's fine.
Thanks @BeenBurned.
Do you know if it ever came in currant?
It's hard to tell the color because the pictures of the exterior look mahogany but the creed photo looks like British tan. But AFAIK, both those colors had brass/gold hardware.

Maybe someone else might know if the bag came in another color with silver hardware.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back on this.
Seller is shopalamodebags on instagram. I trusted the seller again because a known influencer who I follow supports the business. Also, I really like the bag tried to check everywhere but the bag is sold out.

hi. I’m also from ph. I almost bought one from them din :sad:there are entries in this forum where all the bags from alamodebags are fakes. Too many ‘influencers’ are supporting them pa naman. Hay
