Good evening, all. So, I sat for five days on this bag, wondering if it were authentic but hesitant to request an authentication here for fear of unleashing the dogs. Well, the auction ended and I was the high bidder. The best part about auctions, maybe the only good part, is that immediate payment is not required. So, here we go. Fingers, toes and eyes all crossed for good luck!

RARE EARLY BONNIE CASHIN COACH DUFFEL KISSLOCK POCKET SHOULDER BAG METAL LABEL
Seller: hell-bent-4-leather

I've dealt with this seller before and have experienced her bags being in rougher condition than described. She's very easy with returns, though, and I decided to take that risk. Thank you as always for all you do.

Maybe @whateve might know if it's a Coach. Cashin designed for other companies and without any kind of Coach tag there's nothing physical that can prove it's a Coach. Design details by themselves don't prove anything and there aren't any uniquely Coach design details on this one anyway.

JMO, but I think the Cashin name in this one is more important than any Coach logo might be but that's not based on facts, just my personal opinion. I'm definitely NOT a Cashin expert! Duffle styles normally don't ping my radar but I like the combination of the color and the leather texture. The chance of it being a Cashin for Coach bag is probably unlikely.

More opinions are welcome.

I believe the bag you asked about is a Bonnie Cashin bag, but I don't think it's a Coach BC bag. Wait for others to comment on that.

I recommend caution with or avoidance of seller hell-bent-4-leather . Although she has some interesting bags, she is much like her Portland, Oregon neighbor, Station_85 when it comes to inaccuracy of descriptions. Also like station_85, hell-bent-4-leather doesn't authenticate her items before listing and mixes fakes among authentic items.

In fact, this listing is a fake:

There is really no way to tell if it is a Coach bag, but it is a Bonnie Cashin bag, which is great! The styling details are similar to Coach bags from the Bonnie Cashin era, and at that time, there often wasn't any Coach branding, just the Bonnie Cashin tag, so it could have been made by Coach. There is just no way to prove it.

You ladies are so kind and so knowledgable. I cannot tell you the depth of my appreciation for the information. I will pay for it and see how it is when it arrives. I respect your hesitancy to say 'yay! it's a Coach by Cashin' because I can see there's no way to prove that. I am buying it with eyes open and will see what comes. You all deserve a wonderful Sunday evening.

It's a facbooaerket place post - I'm sorry I did this on my phone - I can erase and start over if need be

Hello everyone. I am new here so hoping I am doing everything right. I am happy to be part of the community! I need help with an older vintage bag. I already purchased it so fingers crossed.

Item: Coach Janice
Listing number:none
Seller and site where listed: BigRedMommy. Mercari.
Link:https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m69613649616/?url_scheme=item/openDetail&id=m69613649616
Comments:... The creed seems to be from before style numbers were used, but the style number is correct for this bag. Also, the material around the zipper is black and the bag is red. Questioning authenticity.
