Hi Authenticator! As always you are appreciated! I have this coach bag that I got on consignment and I want to make sure it’s real before I post it on eBay. Please see attached photos. Thank you in advance!

Genuine, but I don't know the name, probably one of the many Hamptons Totes and made in 2006

Good Afternoon,

I've found posts of the bags, please are you able to authenticate using these:

Thank you
I have a couple of comments.

I can't view entire listings on Vinted because the site requires me to make an account and relinquish privacy. Without logging in, I can't see full pictures or listings.

I strongly recommend avoiding any bags from any sellers who claim items are "Japanese special edition." From what I've seen and continue to see, all are fake. (ETA: Beware also of the Japanese sellers who use "Collaboration" in their titles and descriptions.)

In fact, about 2 years ago, I posted this thread as a warning. I'd been seeing hundreds of listings of fakes from Coach 1941 collection, NASA, Disney and other popular licensed character collections from Japanese sellers.

Although the thread hasn't been updated with seller IDs, the fraud continues. (It was and continues to be so rampant that I couldn't keep up.)

In a quick ebay search, I found these listings of fakes. I expect that any other listings from the same sellers will be fakes also.
1. shop-used-in-japan - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Dumb...041741?hash=item596619944d:g:BJsAAOSwYvpgL2vO
2. Same pictures as above but different seller ID mireajujapan: https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Disn...518704?hash=item5247c6a3f0:g:-zQAAOSwUJtgLeqY
3. tokky-plus - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-coa...199632?hash=item1cfc31b250:g:BKYAAOSwdHlf2sN2

My recommendation for buying Disney or other lines of highly and well-faked newer bags is to either buy directly from Coach (make sure the site is really Coach) or from trusted sellers known.

Thanks for coming back! I'm going to avoid, deep down I didn't feel certain that it was genuine and your information is very helpful. Thank you

Good morning,
I am thinking of purchasing my first “vintage” or older classic Coach bag. Can you please authenticate this Willis bag?
Thank you

Item: Coach Willis
Listing number: ?
Seller and site: peaceandlotus on Poshmark

It's authentic but not vintage for several years. The bag was made in 2008 so it won't be vintage (20 years old) until 2028.

Thank you so much for your help:smile: I am looking at one more bag, I was hoping might be authenticated also.

The bag in question is authentic but the seller has a history on several sites.

Although she doesn't have a lot of fakes, even on PM, there have been some fakes sold. (It looks like creeds on fakes are blurred enough that it's difficult for inexperienced eyes to determine that they are indeed fakes.)

And there have been posts on TPF.

In a post in January 2021, I commented:

BB, you know I don't get involved with newer styles but I've never seen a genuine Disney Coach bag that didn't have a Disney creed. The Mouse just isn't on my radar, but would that plain non-branded creed inside an alleged "Disney" bag be a red flag? The one thing Disney always does is fight like he11 to protect their trademark and there's no apparent protection there. Is that a bad sign or something you've seen in some genuine Coach-Disney items?

Just curious.

TBH,, I haven't really followed too closely, not because I don't want to help with Coach Disney (Snoopy, Nasa, Marvel, etc) items but because so many of those collections are alleged to be "Japanese collaborations" but are absolutely and unquestionably fake.

Another thing I've noticed about the fakes in Japanese listings is that I don't think it's an accident that pictures are just blurry enough that you can't read tags, receipts or paperwork, listings don't include enough or the proper angles of pictures and images in listings don't enlarge.

But now that you asked the question about the Disney creed on a Disney item, I did a bit of hunting and found some items I believe to be authentic (from US sellers) and those with creed pictures show the Disney creed.

So in answer to your question, "Is that a bad sign or something you've seen in some genuine Coach-Disney items?" IMO, it IS a bad sign.

Note that it's ironic that the fakers DID put a Disney creed on a Nasa item! This Japanese seller's item was purchased by a US buyer/reseller and subsequently listed on ebay by that reseller.

So the caveat is that even if there's a Disney creed, that doesn't mean the item it's on is genuine!
