Dearest Authenticators,

I have had this bag in my possession for a few years, I bought it from a colleague who had lost the original strap and so I used it as a clutch, and it has languished amongst my bag collection unloved for a while now. I’ve just bought a new chain strap direct from Coach so it is a bit more useable. (Apologies...my pictures are staged ready for sale if authentic).

Item: Rhyder (of some sort?)
Where Obtained: Personal sale from colleague
Measurements: 9.5” x 5.5” x 3”
Comments: It is high quality and lovely styling, but the white label doesn’t reveal anything in my online searches - I am hoping this is just one of those typical Coach anomalies...I thought I read somewhere that in 2014 there was a flurry of Rhyder issues.

Here’s hoping...and MTIA as always.

Stay safe

Zoe xx
Having never seen the bag/style, I'm not familiar with it but what I saw in your pictures seemed fine. I didn't want to comment until and unless I was sure. I believe that your bag is fine and is a Rhyder crossbody bag in metallic leather, made in 2014.

In my first search, I only found a Facebook listing from a seller in Singapore but her listing showed a picture that was taken in a Coach store (or outlet).

So I did a bit more hunting and got lucky with the Wayback Machine.

ETA: When you list it, be sure to disclose that the strap isn't the original strap that came with the bag and was replaced with a different Coach strap.

Hi Authenticator Im just wondering if you could help me out in identifying the name and style of these minis so I can research. thanks.
purchased at a private estate sale, thanks.

Hi authenticators, Could you help me authenticate these two briefease that I purchase?

Item1: briefease 5265
Seller and site where listed: POSHMARK @ melundey
Link:https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Leather-briefcase-600df024bcdb2f2f3b95929a
Comments: In Salearea guide @Hyacinth said if the serial number start with "J", then we need to be careful. So I'm not sure about it's authenticity.

Item2: briefease 5180
Seller and site where listed: MERCARI @black
Link:https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m55738125840/
Comments: The leather quality looks not good, and the serial numbers are bulky. Also, the backside of Rivets doesn't have a concave.1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg7.jpg6.jpg5.jpg4.jpg5180.1.jpg5180.2.jpg5180.3.jpg5180.4.jpg5180.5.jpg

It's not necessary to upload the pictures when they're viewable in the listings. You can save yourself some extra work.

The first one is authentic. Although the counterfeiters do seem to like to put "J" as the month code, this bag is fine.

The second one (from BLACK on Mercari) is fake.

I purchased this vintage coach city bag on eBay. I have yet to pay for it. The serial number seemed off. Can someone please authenticate this.

seller is : wovencycle

serial number is A8M-9790
The bag is authentic and the serial number is correct for when and where it was made.

I'm concerned though......the listing says that wovencycle ended the listing early "because the item is no longer available." Why is that? Did you buy it "off" ebay? Did the seller offer a cheaper price if you purchased off-site?
