Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. Its Christmas Eve here in New Zealand and I want to thank our wonderful Authenticators @whateve @Hyacinth @BeenBurned and also the ever helpful @houseof999 for all the help they have given us newbies and wonderful rehabbers on this Coach Forum.

I will forever be grateful that they are willing to take the time to search out the little inconsistencies of Coach and try and prevent us from buying a fake.

Both are authentic but the saddlery bag has a lot of extra holes punched in the strap. There isn't a picture that shows the ends of the straps.

The Saddlery Bag strap looks like it's pretty much of a write-off. I'm not a rehabber so maybe it can still be saved. But Whateve is right, you really need to see if the ends of the strap have been damaged or cut off.

No unfortunately...its what we call The New Zealand Christmas tree...the Pohutakawa tree..it has beautiful red flowers in summer

And from the photos it looks like the bag spent a lot of time buckled on the shortest ones. It might be hard to get the dirt and wear marks out.

1- both are genuine, the City Bag was made in 1996 and the Court Bag in 1995

2- the Legacy Zip is genuine, from 2000

3- genuine Court Bag probably from around 1988-89

3) there was no dust bag or price tags (not shown in pictures or mentioned, because there were none)
4) shows as proof a picture of the creed and the bag inside a clear plastic bag not Coach, (I use to protect items in shipment)

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, on Christmas, nonetheless! This is a case where the buyer is mistaken.

Is the buyer open to coming here and expressing her concerns and getting reassurance that the bag is indeed authentic? If so, please refer her because there's nothing wrong with your bag. It's correct for when and where made.

1. Between 2014 and 2016, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds and instead put the production info on a small white tag hidden inside the bag. In this case, you were smart enough to show that tag. Did the buyer look at the pictures in the listing? They show the creed without a serial number and they show the tag with all the info it's supposed to have!

2. Not all bags have a leather smell and in newer bags, the smell isn't as strong nor lasts as long as older classic and vintage bags!

3. Dust bags and tags don't prove (or disprove) authenticity since both are often faked or genuine props can be shown to "prove" authenticity of a fake. And even when an item may have originally come with a dust bag (and tag), those items can be misplaced or in the case of a pre-owned item, discarded by the original owner.

Since they weren't shown or described as being included, they shouldn't have been expected.

4. Sheesh! Seriously?!?! Did you explain that you packed it that way for protection? If you just dumped the bag into a box without protecting it, she wouldn't have been happy if it came scuffed and scratched.

Please refer the buyer here if she wants reassurance.
