Item: pretty sure this is a Swagger bag?
Listing number: unknown
Seller: amritamarie
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224218039069
Comments: Another impulse purchase, intending to give as a Christmas gift assuming it’s authentic! I’m not super familiar with this style, but think it should be from the late 70s or early 80s?
I think this might be a blazer bag.

The 2 styles are very similar but it's too small to be a Swagger so it has to be a Blazer Bag, style 9830. The style was introduced early in 1988 and only the very early ones had New York City creeds so that's probably when this one was made.

Thank you @BeenBurned for checking out that bag for me. I hope it looks as nice in person as it does online.

She has this fake, with "Gives me huge LV vibes without being too in your face" in the description! I don't think so!
The creed :whut:

Item: Chester??
Listing number: idk
Seller and site where listed: vinted, punkynoodle
Link: https://www.vinted.nl/femmes/sacs-a-bandouliere/795452508-coach-leather-handbag
Comments: there's no serial number or creed, just a paper thing that says "made in China"
Size is unknown too..
I can't see all the pictures (because I won't agree to their "privacy" statement) but if there's no creed or serial number and just a paper "made in China" tag, it's probably just a generic bag.

It looks like a recent Coach bag, #48403. I believe it doesn't have a creed. There might be a tag somewhere inside with the serial number inside but I haven't found any listings that confirm this. The pictures aren't good enough for me and I don't want to agree to the privacy statement either.

Thank you, that must be it they seem very similar based on the pictures the seller provided.

Hi authenticators

I'm posting below the two bags I purchased before I discovered authenticating them here & I'm a bit paranoid worrying & wondering now. They're xmas gifts so I haven't received them yet. Would you please authenticate them?

Thank you so much!

I highly suspect this bag is fake. It's not a style I'm interested in so I never bought it. Can you guys take a look? That's a huge rip off at that price!!

Seller: kemer3489

Never mind. It's definitely fake. I have no doubt after receiving additional pics from the seller.

I agree. I see several problems with the bag itself as well as the mess-of-a-hangtag! (Hangtags by themselves aren't used to judge authenticity of the bag (since they can be removed or replaced) but in this case, the I believe the hangtag is original to the bag and neither hangtag nor bag is genuine.

(I also see problems with the serial number/font when compared to another that I believe to be genuine.)

Note that most of the bags of this style I found were on Japanese and other Asian websites, many of which I've found to have more fakes than authentic items and many of the fakes are very close. I'm not comfortable recommending any of those sites as safe though I've also seen some authentic items on them too.

Again, the bag from kemer3489 is fake. And without any other history, 0 feedback and another sold item showing only stock images, I don't recommend the seller.

At the time I responded to Houseof999's request and posted, the listing in question was kemer3489's only current listing.

Now, the fake has been removed but at this time, the new seller now has 10 current listings, most with stock photos and in cases where she has some actual (non-stock) images, the pictures are inadequate for authentication purposes.

Because of the proliferation of close fakes, new sellers, lack of definitive pictures and because the holiday season seems to bring out the scammers, I recommend extreme caution when making online purchases.
