Good afternoon generous authentication experts! Request for authentication please, as I've never seen coach leather damaged in a fashion similar to this bag and the pictures are misleading. Thanks so much!

Item: Coach black leather purse
Listing number: 107666111
Seller:Central North Carolina Goodwill (www.shopgoodwill.com)
Link:https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/107666111
Dimensions: 18.00 x 12.00 x 3.00
Comments: There is wear on the strap that appears to be faux leather worn off and exposing brown leather underneath, I can provide pictures if needed.

If it has damage that wasn't disclosed, just return it to Goodwill. If it's Not As Described, why would you want to keep it? There's no mention of damaged straps in the listing and apparently no photos either so Goodwill should accept the return. Apparently you just bought it last week, so return it.

The Condition as described in the listing is:
CONDITION:Pre-owned

Some dirt, dust, and blemishes due to use. Inside lining needs clean. Some wear and dirt around inside zipper pocket. Sold as shown.

If the strap damage wasn't disclosed in the listing and isn't visible in their photos (and I sure can't see any hint of any damage to the straps), then the condition is NOT "as shown" and they owe you a refund.

Damaged straps don't prove something's fake, there are a lot of things that can damage a strap. Coach uses a variety of materials to shape and reinforce their straps, what's underneath doesn't prove or disprove authenticity. Most of the time we don't even know what's supposed to be underneath, so what exactly are we supposed to be looking for?

That's because people from "other" sites and Facebook pages watch this site for deals and steals.

If you see something really amazing and know that you can return it for a full refund if it turns out to be fake, buy first and hold off on posting it here until you know without a doubt that it's on its way to you. Or although we're not supposed to do it, try PM'ing me and just ask a "hypothetical what if...?" for my opinion. Otherwise someone else can outbid you or even make an offer to the seller to buy it privately for a higher price.

Sleazy? Sure it is. But some people are sleazebags.
Bummer. I wasn’t sure about OfferUp’s policies because I haven’t used them before. And I checked the creed against some of my other bags before bidding on it but still wanted your input before going through. I’ll hold off next time. Thanks for the tip, Hyacinth!

ha! This is what I did for my recent authentication requests, I bought first then ask. Normally, I get an answer before it ships especially if I buy on a weekend.

I swear, sometimes I think the 2000 "D" plant must have had 20 of the bloody things! You can look at a dozen creed and serial combos and find a dozen differences. They may have even been using an older creed stamp and the new updatede one at the same time. I'm pretty sure that they had at least 2 serial stamps and that the old one was was a basket case and kept getting bits replaced.

One thing that I haven't seen before though is that off-center underscore in the "No". Unless the stamp itself was damaged I don't even know how that could have happened.

Maybe someone who's owned one of that particular style could look at the construction details of the bag? The only thing I'm comfortable calling it is Questionable.

ETA - I didn't notice that Whateve had already weighed in. I'll go with her opinion about this style, she's owned them and I haven't.
Thank you also.

I have several different examples in my records and NONE matched this one. And I did search and couldn't find another like this, thus my curiosity.

Comments: This was a late night purchase lol. I have not owned one before so I hope it is good Based on photos, would you be able to determine the color? And year made? I appreciate your time and help as always!
It's fine.
Yay! Perhaps this was missed but does anyone know what color this bag may be? And what year this was made?
