I have a Coach (I hope) Pocket purse with a creed that looks strange to me. It's pretty much illegible. I just thought it best to have it checked out. What do the experts think? Thank you!

That bag is fake.

Did you buy it online? Is there a link?

If purchased from a store (even thrift or garage sale), it's illegal to sell fakes and they should give you your money back.

I went thrift store shopping again today and checked the glass case at Goodwill and found about 8 Coach bags. One was a pretty old vintage. This week any purple tags are 50% off and I liked this patchwork Coach handbag and it had a purple tag so I got half off $40.00.
Aprox. 12"x9" with a 5" length strap.
Could I get this bag authenticated? also how would I go about cleaning this bag? I want to wipe it down good with something but not sure what I should use.
So the animal print patchwork is real or not? Sorry, I'm new here and have the same bag, about to list for sale on Poshmark but don't want to sell a fake bag as authentic

We need to see clear photos of the inside and outside of your bag, especially the creed and serial number including some of the lining around the inside patch. Do NOT post a link to any listing!

That style was widely faked and a lot of the fakes were very close to the real ones. You can NEVER say that "a certain style is real", because ANY style can be faked, and almost all of them have been. Just because your bag resembles a genuine one doesn't prove it's real.

Read post number one in this thread for the information and photos we need to authenticate a Coach item

Could someone please authenticate these 2 Coach bags?
Both from the Sunday GW shopping spree with my sisters...
First one is approx. 7.5"w x 8"h x 2"d. Strap 15" with knot.
2000 Compact Pouch #9620, yes?
Thanks in advance!

And the 2nd one...don't think I've lost my mind buying this hot mess!
For $4.99 I have a dark brown mini hangtag and a lovely strap with nickel hardware.
Shame about the rest :(
Approx. 6.5"w x 8.5"h x .75"d. Strap 20" to rings including clips.
Signature swingpack of undetermined age or style number, yes?
Thanks again!

It's authentic but wow! What happened to that poor bag?

Crikey! It looks like someone stuffed it and used it as a football.

At least the strap is completely removeable, and I've bought a lot of beat-up Swingpacks just to get the straps. They can be re-used on a lot of bags for converting them into a crossbody, and the Swingpack straps are usually very long and work very well. You just need to match up the trim color and hardware. Definitely worth the price just for the strap. :smile1:

Thanks to you both...I can only imagine what that poor little bag endured! The piping on both bottom corners is shredded and the usually tough signature jacquard nearly rubbed raw! What's really amazing is the lining is pristine and the strap shows only a tiny bit of wear. But well worth the price for replacement parts!

Yep, genuine Compact Pouch.

Thanks, Hyacinth!
