Hi! I'm new to the forums and wanted help please.

Found the following:
Item: Authentic COACH Signature Brown/Tan Bags
Item#: (21325388)
Link: http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewitem-sugg.asp?itemid=21325388
Seller: GW

Second Item:
Item: COACH Madison Leather Lindsey Large Tote Bag
Item#: (21373996)
Link: http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem.asp?ItemID=21373996
Seller: GW

I hope I included what is needed for authentication. TIA!

I can only comment on the first listing, please wait for other opinions on the second one.

The smaller Signature bag seems ok but the large duffle doesn't have a photo of the creed and serial number and we almost always need that for a full authentication. I don't see any obvious problems, but that's all I can say.

Just curious about this one..

City Bag

Comments: I don't ever recall seeing a Costa Rica creed without a number and where the "Made in Costa Rica" part is underneath, separate from the main part of the creed. Is this one of those plant errors or is it fake?

TIA, authenticators!

That one gets a BIG question mark. All City Bags and all non-sheridan or non-Dakota bags should have a serial number.

The stamp spacing is also weird, the letters are touching in many places and the shapes of the letters aren't nearly as crisp and sharp as they should be. The whole stamp has a really amateur look to it.

I can't say for sure that it's fake, it could be a very early Costa Rica bag, and I HAVE seen a few bags made in CR that still use the old stamp although I don't have any photos in my files. But the missing serial number worries me.

I just got this for $13.50 at GW (marked $15, but GW NE is selling discount cards again). If this is authentic, is it an Essex briefcase, 5274? Thank you experts, and please let me know if any more photos are needed.

Are grooves on the turnlock ok on briefcases?

If authentic, it needs a replacement shoulder comfort strap, but I have silver-coach favorited on eBay. Thanks again!

The second listing looks okay.

If you're going to bid or buy the first one, I strongly suggest getting a picture of the creed from the duffle. It's been well faked.

Yay! Thank you! I've been looking at vintage briefcases, but I couldn't decide on one. Now one found me, so the hunt is over.
I have 4 GW's in my area/ the areas I go through to work. All of my vintage/ near vintage leather made in USA pieces have come from the same run-down shop in an older part of town. I may just stick to that one from now on.

Hmm.. guess I'll just leave this alone then. I wouldn't want to report it without confirmation that it's fake, unless anyone here has any suggestions? In any case, thank you Hyacinth!

No, don't report. Unless an item can be confirmed as fake, it shouldn't be reported. It's better to let a fake slip by than to have a seller of an authentic item have her account wrongly dinged.
