You've asked about this bag several times in the last 2 months, and we STILL don't have an answer.

We can't prove it's authentic because we can't find any others with that style number to compare it to. I can't even find an example on Google with the same style number and photos. We can't estimate a value for the same reason and because the site rules here don't allow us to value bags.

We can't suggest where to sell it, again, because we can't authenticate it and will NOT recommend that it be sold unless we know it's genuine. It may be a genuine limited edition but how do we verify that? (I can see a limited edition number that looks like "6 out of 35" or maybe "65" but that doesn't prove it's authentic. The only references are one blog that mentions the Regent Street store, and an old advert from Selfridge's with no photos or information. The blog only shows one photo and it's black with different patches. If you're posting from the UK which I'm assuming you are, we also need to know that. Our authenticators all reside in the US and aren't familiar with limited edition UK items.

If you're hoping to sell it on THIS website, that is absolutely NOT ALLOWED. And no one here will buy an expensive bag without identification or authentication.

Maybe someone here will see your post and can refer you to a site in the UK that specialises in Coach. Or if you live near London, maybe you can research the boutique mentioned in the blog and they can give you more information.

I've been poking around for several days trying to figure out whether your bag is authentic and if there's anything to prove it as such.

Unfortunately, the best I can do without any bags of the same style, color and pattern is to say that I believe your bag is NOT authentic. (Do you have any idea where the person who gave you this gift got it?)

Although there weren't any other identical bags, I found two that seem to be the closest matches of what I think your bag is trying to copy and if either is the same style, the differences make me believe yours is fake.

First comp is from a picture I believe was photographed in a Coach store. It showed 3 bags. My comparison is to the red one, cropped from the rest of the image.
Screen Shot 2020-10-10 at 10.29.45 PM.png

Differences:
Upper left corner - Cat (?) head is considerably smaller on your bag than on the red one
Lower left corner - "41" is leaning to the left on your bag, to the right on the red one
Center - Bus is different

Another comparison -- Your bag on left, comp on right and again, the differences are obvious:

It's authentic.
Looks good, made in 1994
I thought it was interesting that there was a Coach cartouche printed on the outside of the bag. I don’t think I noticed it on this style before. Was this done for this style and I just have missed it?
Yikes! That looks terrible. I wonder how that happened. Could it have been added by the consumer? I also don't like the unfinished edge along the zippered pocket. However, the creed looks really good.
Yes, I saw that everything added up for the Creed.
Maybe it was added by Coach by an employee, for an employee or some other scenario . . .

Here's the actual bag photos, the conditions I can say around 4/10. Quite a sad bag especially the strap, only 1 hole punch on it. weird.

The coach stamping is actually behind the creed's side. unless the outer pocket of the bag is meant to be a front side of the bag.

The size is approx : 9 (L) x 7.5 (H) x 3.5 (W)

I don't think that added logo stamp was made with an official Coach stamp. The letters are too large, the heavy parts of the letters aren't thick enough, the 2 Cs are slightly different shapes and not flat enough. And the strap has definitely been butchered. The creed is right, and other details like the ends of both the front and back piping are sewn together in the right place at the bottom if you compare it to a genuine bag. The real disaster aside from any condition problems is the strap.

Here's a listing for a genuine one that includes the catalog page:

The logo stamp on the outside seems "off" somehow.

Is there any chance the panel that the creed is stamped on might have been taken from a different bag? And the strap's definitely been butchered, that alone would be a deal breaker for me. What is the actual strap drop or length? The 1995 catalog lists the full strap length for the Chester Bag as 48 inches or 120 cm.

I can't open Carousell links, is the bag returnable?

ETA - I'm not sure how or why I made 2 posts. Anyway, this is the only one I've seen with the color-matched top zipper backing. All the others are older and still have all numeric serial numbers and have the dark blue or black fabric on the top zipper. It could just be a late production change though. 1994 seems to be the last year it was made.

Hi! I just dunked this and I’m loving the style. There’s a slip pocket in back, the main body zips closed and there’s an inside slip pocket. What is this style?

ETA the back slip pocket is under the flap but outside the zipper
Possibly a Ritchie bag 9937. You didn't provide measurements. There should have been a leather piece attached to the zipper pull.

Thanks a lot @Hyacinth for all the helps given. Unfortunately no return for the bag. If let say it is not not authentic, will just keep it for display :-s lol!

As for the strap, I'm very sure it has been butchered/tempered on. The length wise, I've measure it around 113cm (open buckle). It does seems off to me as there's only one hold on it + the end was cut hideously. I'm trying to think positive that it might be a replacement strap thou  which was done in a very bad way.

The creed and serial number aren't readable and I won't authenticate it without a clear photo of those details.

And I don't understand why the seller is calling it a "leather satchel". It's not a satchel style, and calling it leather seems to be bordering on deceptive. I can't tell if the fabric is regular fabric or PVC-coated fabric but it's definitely NOT leather! Anyone who buys that expecting a leather bag is going to be deeply disappointed.

Thank you very much!

Authenticators - please authenticate for me. I’m suspicious of the numbers. When I enter the 2nd set a page of Coach bags with some type of Asian script shows up. A friend gave it to me. It’s flawless. The numbers don’t show well. They are F1780-F13884. I know F means factory outlet. Thank you.
It looks fine.
