Hi again, Would someone please authenticate this small green wallet? It was my grandmother's. I don't have any other information on it than that. She liked to shop a lot so she could have purchased it anywhere. The measurements are 4.5" x 3.5". Is the color called bottle green? Thank you :)

Genuine Basic Bag style 9455, probably early to mid 1980s

BTW, you don't need to use the "Reply" button inside a post unless you're replying to that specific person and that post. It gets confusing for the person whose post is being repeated if they're not actually the one you're responding to. Just use the larger "write your reply" box under the most recent post instead if what you're asking isn't connected to any previous post. You don't need to keep "replying" to the "Read Me" post on the top of every page. Any time you use that small Reply button in someone else's post it notifies that person that someone has responded to them. You may be flooding the site owner with Alerts that he doesn't need to read or respond to.

Genuine, but I don't know the name. I'd have to have accurate dates for when it was made to narrow down a color name, Bottle Green is one of the more logical possibilities.

Here on Coach, we don't generally limit the number of requests someone can make.

What we do ask is that you limit a single request to 3-4 bags because if more are listed in one post, it's confusing to keep track when authenticating, especially when comments are made about one of several posted. Misunderstandings are more likely to occur when there are several listings.

So you can ask about more bags; just break the posts up.

1- It's normal for that plant, month and year and that's all that matters. It's a genuine Mini Hippie made in 2000. And it IS mini, only 6x8 inches so make sure something that small will work for you. Even fitting a phone inside might be difficult.

Thank you both! I am getting really into secondhand Coach bags (so is my mom - it's nice having something we can enjoy together) so I will definitely remember the rule about breaking up requests!

This is my most recent eBay bag purchase and the last I'll make without checking here first...I had no idea regarding the extent of fakes out there and just how "good" some of them look.

I think this one is fake but you'll have to confirm.

Item: Coach Patricia's Legacy Leather Flap #9951 Brown

Purchased:eBay

Seller: Tarriermix

Comments: The reason I think it's a fake is because of the back side of the grommets and the fact that the grommets are nickel looking whereas the buckle is brass. The buckle is also stamped "solid bass" which I don't think is on authentic coach bags? I have additional photos below. Thanks for your time.C2A77687-06B9-4686-9619-067274B371BA.jpegBDAFFB7F-B97D-4D07-946C-25573437DA45.jpeg28661444-4D75-4E2E-8155-DB3D6AC66FA1.jpegDEE7FCDA-1F9A-4ED6-8B8A-E40E790017CF.jpegB84C1B71-848A-4D9A-833A-326164C3AAC2.jpeg02F63458-C9C5-4776-AFC9-E6812E1D2B85.jpeg6C6C72EB-895E-4B16-85B0-326584176F58.jpeg

You are correct. The bag is fake. Let tarriermix know and hopefully, she'll be easy about giving you a refund. If she give you a hard time, open a return request for a counterfeit item and she'll have to accept it and pay return shipping if she wants the bag back.

Thank you for the quick response and info on getting a refund! I’ll have to post my other eBay bags (I know there’s at least one other fake maybe more ).

Hi,
I'm new so I hope I'm in the right forum to authenticate a Coach bag. I'm having trouble finding the name of this particular bag that I just bought it from my local Goodwill. I've searched this forum for hours to see if I can find a similar bag. The creed number is not coming up in any searches but then I noticed swaggers have different numbers inside so I don't know.IMG_20201008_123104215.jpg I would appreciate any input.
Thanks, AnneIMG_20201008_123104215.jpgIMG_20201008_123026716.jpg20201008_131525-COLLAGE.jpg20201008_131535-COLLAGE.jpgIMG_20201008_123405275.jpg

It's authentic. You can't use the creed number to identify a bag when the serial number is all numerals. Before 1994, Coach bags had unique serial numbers that had nothing to do with the style of the bag. This appears to be a camera bag #9760 made in the mid 1980s. There are often similar looking bags so we need measurements to be sure of the style.

I'm posting this here because I found a listing with details I've never seen before.

Although I initially thought it to be authentic with Coach having made a (style number) mistake, I'm questioning my opinion. The font and creed don't seem correct for the 1996 US M plant. In fact, it seems to match more closely to the Costa Rican 1996 M plant creeds.

Yet there are differences in the comps too. The bag in question doesn't match either US or CR.

Opinions?

I'm in the middle of cooking so I may be posting more than once as I go through my files.

The style number is smack dab in the middle of most of the Travel items from the 1996 official US Olympics items. And the fonts in the serial numbers are identical to the USOC items but without any Olympic branding. I'm wondering if this was repurposed from the Olympics line to the regular Coach items? Maybe the Olympic items weren't selling well? They're not terribly popular now either. The color mixes are the same, various color leather trim with black ballistic nylon bodies.
