Measurements: L 12.5 H 9" D 3" Drop 5"
Serial # is very difficult to read. I see it as 312-8747

Genuine, but not from the 1970s. It was probably made between 1985 and 1987, I own its twin. According to the catalogs, the earliest it could have been officially introduced was late 1985.

Thanks very much @Hyacinth! I'm a little concerned buyers will be sceptical about the faint numbers even though the serial #'s don't relate to the style at that time. Would you have any suggestions on handling that issue?


You can try to bring out the serial number by brushing some kind of light powder over them, like pearlized highlighter or eye shadow and then carefully wiping off the excess so the powder stays in the indentations of the serial number. Even talcum or baby powder could probably do in a pinch. Just make sure the powder can be cleaned off with a slightly damp cloth or sponge.

And hey, it's 35 years old. I was beginning to show some wear at age 35 too. :biggrin:
