  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

It's like the game of "telephone" we used to play as Brownies way back in the day.

Someone started by whispering a message into the ear of the person next to us, she'd whisper what she thought she heard, the next would whisper and it would go down the line. When the last person announced what was said to her, it was very different from what was said by the first person.


ETA: I guess I'm dating myself by referring to "telephone" and Girl Scouts/Brownies!

Exactly! And throw in one of those previously mentioned liquid lunches, or a toke or two back behind the loading docks during afternoon break, and anything becomes possible. :biggrin:

ETA - Obviously, the Girl Scouts and Brownies were not yet of an age to be a part of Corporate America during the 80s and 90s, so I'm going to presume that they're innocent of anything more shady than playing "telephone". ;)

That bag is authentic but the seller does have a history. I don't think she's knowingly listing fakes but she doesn't seem to verify her items. (Currently, there are no fakes listed.)
