Dear Authenticators, I am merely curious about this bag only because I’ve never seen a classic Coach brief 5266 that’s made in Italy. It is rather intriguing because the serial plant code of E is correct for the country. However, and although the bag is well made, the leather flap holding part of the brass clasp is simpler in design than its “made in USA” or made elsewhere counterparts. It does not have the usual padding under the leather flap and a missing stitch across, if that makes sense. Is this bag genuine or a real good fake? Your thoughts, opinion and information are much appreciated!

It's authentic. Coach changed the turnlocks in many of their briefcases in the mid 90s. I think they realized that these turnlocks without the extra padding weren't strong enough for the weights briefcases are intended for.

Hi! Can you please take a look at this one? I’ve been hunting for a duffle for a while now. I can’t quite make out some of the numbers in the creed but they’re listed in the description. Thoughts?

Comments: Early XL Sohot Tote? - anxious to see what the darker stains at the top are

Thank you!
It's authentic. It looks like a Soho bag 4082. Those stains look like grease, like it got caught in a car door.

Thank you very much, Whateve. So this bag was made in 1994, before Coach changed the design of their turnlock and glad for more strength

Thank you very much, Whateve. Knowing that this bag was made in 1994, so Coach changed the design of their turnlock and flap for more strength after around this period. Thanks for the useful info!

I didn't find a style number for that particular style but it's an agenda/planner and if you're interested, you can buy replacement calendar and address inserts.

It's hard to determine the measurements from your pictures so you'd have to figure out which size fits. I don't know whether Coach still sells these but if not, you can probably find generic ones at Staples.

Thank You so much for info BB (and for trying to find name/style #) I will take planner with me to Staples. I am hoping they sell pen refill as well. I checked and it doesn't write but it is in great condition and actually has Coach stamped on the top. Really cute.
Thanks again!
