Hi, @BeenBurned, I have some authenticity questions if you don’t mind. I have seen a youtube video of someone comparing real vs fake coach, and they said that there is no authentic creed that isn’t embossed, and that gold ink-ed creed is fake.

but both of these creeds look authentic to me, am I right? And if I am, do you know why sometimes coach use gold/silver-inked creed instead of embossed?

Comments: Measures 6” height x 7” width. Mini Hangtag has (O) stamp, no creed patch - maybe considered an accessory? I am not familiar with newer or cloth lined Coach. Kind of an impulse buy, but would still clean it up and wear it if it’s authentic. Many thanks to all admins/authenticators in advance, you are truly appreciated!
Sorry we missed that one too.

If it's genuine, and that's a very big "IF", it would be a recent re-issue and not a true vintage bag, the original vintage versions didn't have linings. And since the vintage originals had creed patches or stamps and serial numbers, there's no reason why a remake wouldn't have them too.

I don't do newer styles, but the hangtag, regardless of what's trying to be an outlet stamp on it, just doesn't look right at all. The Coach logo is crooked and looks much too small for the hangtag.

Are there ANY kind of fabric tags inside the bag, such as "made in" or any tags sewn all the way down on the bottom seam of an inside pocket? If there are no sewn in tags at all I doubt very seriously if it's genuine. Please feel around in the pocket(s) and seams and post photos if you find any.

Please wait for someone familiar with newer styles to take a look.
As a rule, I don't authenticate, recommend or comment on Poshmark listings because (IMO) of Poshmark's lack of care when it comes to responding to reports of fakes, lack of expertise of Poshmarks "authentication team" in cases of disputes and lack of seller integrity when sellers are told items are fake yet they don't end their illegal listings.

In this case, I will comment since @Hyacinth asked for someone with expertise in newer styles.

The bag STILL can't be authenticated and without further pictures of the parts of the bag we need to see, I recommend finding a seller on a safer site to purchase from.

The bag (if authentic and that's not yet determined) might be style 48403.

We NEED to see the following:
If this bag is made by Coach, there should be a made in label sewn into a lining seam. I believe on this bag, it would be a rectangular semi-opaque/semi clear plasticy tag. There also should be a white tag sewn in somewhere, probably into the open inner pocket. She may have to pull the pocket and turn it inside out to find and photograph it.

I see that on August 29, someone asked cindyposten69 for additional pictures of the creed and serial number. Even if the bag doesn't have a creed, she should have responded. cindyposten69's lack of communication concerns me.

If she isn't willing or able to supply the pictures we need, DO NOT BUY from cindyposten69.

Without seeing all details of the bags from which those creed pictures came, I can't comment on authenticity.

However whatever youtube video you watched is one that can't be trusted. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of youtube authenticity guides as well as text guides (in every brand and category you can think of) and one needs to take whatever they say with a grain of salt.

Anyone can write a guide or make a video. There's no vetting of expertise, no cross-checking of the accuracy of what they claim and many are simply copies-and-pastes of someone else's guide.

We've seen so many guides with information that's so inaccurate that trusting them will have you think that authentic items are fake and fakes are authentic.

As for the creeds shown in your post, as I said, without seeing the rest of the pictures, I can't say that THOSE CREEDS are on authentic bags but I will say that the person who claimed "that there is no authentic creed that isn’t embossed, and that gold ink-ed creed is fake" is wrong!

There ARE creeds with gold and silver lettering and there are even creeds with script text.

Every item needs to be authenticated based on its own merits. With very few exceptions, there are no hard and fast "always/never" rules.

Thankyou so much, you saying that there ARE creeds with gold & silver lettering, confirms it for me.

I’m just kind of worried and..pissed? that such videos or so claimed “authenticator” may mislead a lot of people.

for certainty purposes, here are the rest of the details for one of the bag :

The bag is fine.

For future requests, see the post at the top of each page of this thread telling what we need for authentications, including link to listing and seller IDs.
