@Hyacinth Thank you so much! I’m so delighted. I might keep her. Spruce is such a gorgeous colour too. Thank you for the catalog image, I will treasure that too x

I hope you keep and enjoy it. If you ever need care or cleaning instructions for the Nubuc leather, be sure to search the Coach Clubhouse - Rehab and Rescue Club thread for "sonoma nubuc" for information.

And BTW, we're Bag Twins now, I have exactly the same bag in the same color, even made in the same plant, month and year. It's one of my favorite cool-weather handbags.

@Hyacinth Wow! I am truly blesssed. Bag Twins! I think this bag is a Keeper. Can you help me with the plant and month (sorry, still learning) please. Thank you. Zoe xx

Hey everyone! Could you all possibly help me with authentication? I read through everything and searched everything I could possibly search and I'm still having doubts. This is what I have got on his purse so far.
This Coach purse was purchased a year ago at a thrift store along with a matching wallet.
I found the purse on the way back website
It is called a Coach Soho Signature pocket flap bag and it comes in two other colors
it is 11 1/2 (L) x 6 1/2 (H) x 3 (W)
The serial number is K05Q-6314
Which I learned the K stands for October, the 05 stands for 2005 and Q stands for Made in China.
both metal rings on the end holding the strap on has "Coach" engraved in it
the metal clasp has ROMAG USA PAT. 5722126
The stitching seems to be how it is supposed to be.
the zipper has YKK imprinted on it.
there is a couple things I am questioning, the Creed and the placement of the C's.
I feel like I need a second opinion. this is my first time trying to figure it out on my own and it is stressing me out
It only allowed 12 photos so I will post more on my reply below.

Translating Coach serial numbers and production codes is covered pretty thoroughly along with a lot of other information in the six Salearea Coach Guides that are Pinned to the top of each Coach Shopping page that has an index. It's best if you read the entire thread to get some background about its history.

The D in the serial prefix is for the fourth month, 4 is for the year, and B is for Coach's 2nd US plant which I think might have been Miami. So made in April 1994 somewhere in the US or one of their US Possessions. Some Coach plant codes still haven't been pinned down.

I looked over te creed
Since translating a serial number is only valid for authentic items and since thrift stores and other non-authorized sources can (and do) sell fakes, your bag and matching wallet can't be authenticated without pictures.

If you haven't already tried to post them, we need to see photos. Please read the instructions posted at the top of each page and in the first two posts on Page One of this thread for what indo and details are required. Nothing can be identified or authenticated without photos, a serial number by itself can never prove a "Coach" is genuine.

Sorry my phone is being dumb. I wasn't done with my post. I was trying to figure out a way to delete it so I could start over. I'm going to my computer to do it now. Okay! finally! I'm so sorry about all the nonsense and the delay I hope I gave all the information needed.

The name or brand stamped on a zipper has NO value in proving authenticity.

Next time it might help and make less work for you to just concentrate on photos of the front, back, strap and snap hardware and especially the creed patch and serial number. If we need more photos or details, we can ask.

It's genuine, made in 2005 and the name is as shown in the page from Coach's website. I don't know what concerns you have about the other details you mentioned, but the details on this particular bag are all correct. You can only compare details between 2 bags with exactly the same style number and preferably made in the same plant, month and year. And much of the "rules" about authenticity you've probably found on the internet are covered in the purple signature under all of my posts.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it. I will keep that in mind in the future. Sorry about over sharing lol.
