The creed begins: This is a good leather bag... :giggle:
It’s too good, I just had to share it.

And it's made in Korea so..... I'm assuming it's a dud...
Yes, it's fake.

Be sure to include seller ID: katieelaine13

ETA: Don't buy from katieelaine13. She also sold this fake:

For sure. But it’s good to know it’s a good bag! I’ve seen three of them tonight so far. Probably because I’m looking for a bucket style. Two on Mercari and one on Posh. Makes me chuckle every time. I’ll send the links if I see them again.

I didn't look that closely at the photos, but unless it says "Coach" somewhere on the bag, it's not counterfeit, although whatever company that made it probably DID make counterfeit Coaches in the past judging by the open space above the creed stamp. The seller, however, is deceptive or maybe just massively clueless in calling it a Coach and trying to sell it as one. Avoid that seller like the Plague.

However the wallet that BeenBurned pointed out definitely IS counterfeit, and a cheaply and badly made POS at that. I can't believe anyone bought that piece of vinyl trash.

Just to point out for anyone who hasn't heard it before or read the Salearea Guides - Coach has NEVER made handbags in Korea. They've also never made wallets or briefcases there. They did make a few clothing items like scarves IIRC, and we've seen what were apparently one or two sample or preproduction travel or luggage items that might be authentic but which apparently never went into production.

Coach's relationship with the ROK hasn't been a happy one, especially when dealing with, or rather battling with, the Korean court system. Unless the ROK suddenly became the cheapest place to manufacture handbags in all of Asia, I doubt if they'd consider manufacturing anything there again.

I am not sure if the first one is fake?the serial number is questionable. The second one looks ok.Thank u so much and good night!
The second one is definitely authentic. The first one might be okay. I'd like a better picture of the creed, especially the number, to be sure.

Thank u^ I will add more photos if the seller Would like to provide, just curious about it cause the serial is K 4 G-9826 and there are spacing between k4G, it says made in USA, but shouldn’t G represent Turkey?

I'd actually like to see a better photo of the bottom of the bag. In the first photo it almost looks like there's a center seam on the bottom, but the creed photo looks good and there's no center seam in that photo. Style 9826 didn't have a center seam.

Thank you for this history, Hyacinth!
