Thanks very much again. Speaking of which, when it comes to the vintage Rambler bag, I am puzzled why there seems to be two sizes (and design changes) that Coach made. Did the bigger version come out first, then Coach decided to change the style and size but retained the name Rambler? I hope I can ask this question here? Apologies if I’m in the wrong forum.

The larger bag is a Rambler and was made in the 1980s and 1990s. The smaller one without the extended leather is a Ramblers LEGACY, style 9061 and introduced in late 1998. Two different styles and style numbers, please don't use the Rambler name interchageably for both, even if other posters do. They're apples and oranges.

I'm glad that I know the difference now. Thanks a lot!

Awesome picture representation of the newer "Rambler's Legacy". It's too bad that Coach decided to only re-imagine that silhouette and design today, but not the original, bigger Rambler. However, they're both nice designs. You're right, so many Coachers incorrectly refer to the smaller bag as the "Rambler".

@Hyacinth Oops, meant to hit "reply" to your picture post of the Rambler bag.

The pink one made me nervous because the bottom Cs didn’t line up and it did on the black version. The crossbody made me nervous because I thought the O in number was too big. I feel a lot better now.

It's genuine.

I'm not sure how the mini Cs on the pink one aren't lining up. Don't expect Mini C patterns to line up exactly. It's more important that they're reasonably well-centered, although there are a few exceptions to that "rule" too. A lot of those "patterns have to line up along the seams" are wrong anyway, depending on the bag, the seam, the C pattern, etc. Coach makes their own rules and then blithely ignores them a few months later.

And remember, EVERY PLANT USED THEIR OWN STAMPS, AND THERE WERE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEM. Like the size, shape or position of the O's, among other details. Don't ever compare stamps from different styles or plants or even different months and years and think that one might be fake because there's a small difference between them. If you have concerns, post links and photos here.

When you have as many comparison photos of all the different creed variations among plants, styles and dates as we do, then you'll have a good basis for comparison. Just as an example, my Coach Creed photo file just by itself contains 1,874 photos of as many versions of creeds and serial number stampings as I've been able to find and it still has a few gaps, and other files also have photos of various creeds, both real AND fake. That's one reason why you need a pretty massive photo library to authenticate Coaches accurately. Someone who claims to be an "authenticator" or expert but who never bothered to collect that kind of information, or so-called "AI-based" authenticating services like Entrupy, haven't a hope in Hades of ever doing it right until they understand what's involved and what's IMPORTANT in actual authenticating.

Yep, and the NEW "new" version is even a little smaller. Phones get bigger and handbags get smaller - doesn't make much sense, does it?

I have a sneaking suspicion that Coach is doing that to either sell us on carrying TWO of their mini bags at one time, or just to save a few dollars or yuans by using a little less leather for each bag. Either way, I ain't buyin' it, Coach. Give me my nice BIG original Rambler and keep your toy purses, thank you very much!

Many of those "Rules" are talked about and mostly debunked in the six Salearea Guides linked in the Pinned section of this forum. I suggest reading (and re-reading) them if you haven't already done it. And as a bonus, Daria48 was pursueded to post the 2 Daria48 Coach Fake Numbers Lists there too.

This seller does have a history.

I'm curious about this one. I have an opinion but would appreciate others' feelings.

ETA: She also has this one. (I'm not asking about authenticity. I know the verdict!)

Hmmmmm... Drawstring pull, iffy grommets (great name for a '60s tribute band, dontcha think?), and am I seeing an L plant code? I've never saved close-ups of the entire genuine Lula's but this one already has a few red flags even without them. Funny, I DID happen to save a pic of the genuine Drawstring pull tabs though.

And yep, the alleged "Rambler's Legacy" is a BIG

Yes, I'm reading an "L" plant on the Lula and I also (think I) see silver grommets on the strap.

Are you confirming my own conclusion?

ETA: Oops, I see you did refer to the iffy grommets.
