That's nonsense. Although she mentioned, I also looked inside at the lining, didn't see it and figured it was very minor.

This is an enlarged picture of the bag on the mannequin and I'm still not seeing anything. (if it's what looks like a shadow on the lower right, that should have been explained. There's no way that that mark is a disclosure of ink, IMO.)

I would be very disappointed.
Thanks for looking at the listing again and giving opinions. My husband agrees that there is not any discernable ink mark in any of the photos. The seller told me to let her know if I am not satisfied, so that may be an indication that she would be open to a return but I do not know that for sure just yet.

I am on the fence about keeping it and trying to dab some paint on it to cover up some pretty good loss of color on the corner piping (all four corners would need it), and I could try to cover the ink mark as well. Do you have any experience with acrylic paint on this modern type of leather?

There are a couple of other disappointing things: the hardware is silver and not gold as the listing stated. And the yellow color is more lemon yellow and not quite the same color as the photos. It appears that the photos have had the saturation or something ramped up to make that color really pop, which entered my mind before I purchased but I have never seen this bag or color before in my life so I didn't really know if the color was true or not. This I could live with because the color is pretty after all, but I was kind of looking forward to gold hardware.

Any opinions about what I should do? What would you do if you had received this bag?

I would return...you sound not happy with it even if you say the colour is pretty...you were expecting something more.
I would be the type of person who would keep looking at it and asking myslf why did I keep.
Its not as descibed if description says gold but is silver.

Yes there is an ink mark near the bottom of one side. Seller responded to a message from me expressing disappointment and said that it is visible in the image with the mannequin, but I looked over that listing many times and didn't see anything in the photos so I thought it was possible the ink mark she mentioned in the listing was on the inside on the bottom on the lining. At first I figured that was a hair but I thought it could possibly be ink since the seller was claiming there was a pen mark "at bottom." ETA: the seller did claim the photos were her own. ETA: I can also tell that there has been an attempt to clean the ink off but that is only in certain lights. Cannot really that from the photo I took but I could try to show that if needed.

If we aren't seeing it even after the seller told you where it supposedly is, it sounds like she was trying to hide it. IMO, mentioning something that's so difficult to find isn't good enough.

For the record, when an item has a flaw that should be noted, sellers will post something similar to this. Had she done this, you wouldn't be here now!

I would return it because I know I'd never really enjoy carrying it. And I really hate seeing liars get away with their lies.

I just wanted to thank the authenticators here (Hyacinth, BeenBurned and Whateve) for all that they do. Just a simple thank you doesn't seem like enough, but nonetheless here it is. Thank you for what you do for us! There are so many reasons that I'm so grateful for the service you provide for us (free of charge, no less) that I can't even list them all here. You add such happiness to my life when you tell me a bag is authentic and relief when I find out that one I almost bought isn't! I really appreciate all that you do and your expertise. Thanks again!

I've had terrible luck rehabbing this line. Something is weird about it. I couldn't get any color to stick when I tried to fix corners, no matter what I tried. It's like the color soaked in and made it dark, like an oil stain, rather than coloring it. I wouldn't want to chance it. If the hardware is silver, it isn't sunflower. They made a lemon yellow with silver hardware. (not as pretty, in my opinion.) I would return.

It sounds to me like you're having to work very hard to convince yourself that you like the bag. It shouldn't be that way. The seller was unquestionably deceptive in her listing and that's not fair to any buyer and it shouldn't be rewarded with a sale. If you do like it and can live with the flaws, then keep it. But that's not the vibe I'm getting from your post. If it were me, I would return it.

Yes I agree, I would be the same way. I haven't yet gotten a bag that I really regret and I would like to keep it that way.

I'd return.
I sent the seller a message to see if she would be open to a return. I know this is precisely why Poshmark is not the favorite platform around here. I can see why they limit returns, but at the same time I think they should allow returns. Just another reason why I am starting to just avoid that site. Its unfortunate because I think listings can sometimes (not always, obviously) be better photographed and drafted than ebay, and I have gotten much better prices on Posh because of the ability to use offers. :/

I will see what the seller says. Fingers crossed it does not turn into a mess.

Well this is about what I figured. I will listen to you this time, because the last time you advised against rehabbing and I went ahead with it, it was a lot of work indeed. The hardware is silver for sure so I'll bet it is the lemon yellow and not sunflower. I am waiting on a response about a return.

Well, I do like the bag for its shape and its color is okay. Whateve mentioned it could be lemon yellow if the hardware is silver, instead of sunflower so that is disappointing but it is a vibrant pretty yellow. But you are right I shouldn't rationalize myself into keeping it, if she is open to a return I will send it back.

Every time I'd see that pen mark I'd kick myself in the butt for keeping it. For me, exterior pen marks on light colored bags is a big no-no. Honestly though, I still struggle with that when I see a vintage Coach purse I really, really want and there's visible pen marks or ink stains.

I've had to talk myself off the Coach ledge a time or two when it comes to those types of marks/stains.

I don't think Poshmark sellers have the authority to accept returns. I believe you have to do it by reporting a problem to Poshmark. Don't accept the purchase!

ETA: I would keep my complaint simple. "Hardware color is silver, not gold as described. Large pen mark not pictured in listing."
