  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

There's literally NOTHING right about it. (Well, actually, they did spell "Coach" correctly, but that's about it.)

  • It's not a coach style
  • There's no such thing as "The Suede Collection" and if there were, a not-suede bag wouldn't be in that collection
  • all paperwork, hangtag, dust bag and props are fake
  • The lining shown is only found on fakes
  • Paperwork is never attached to the bag with a ball chain
Honestly, there's nothing right and although they claim they're "charitable stores," it's illegal for thrift stores to sell fakes, knowingly or not.
Thank you for the input!!!! This explains why I couldn't find it anywhere online. I appreciate your time!!

While there is an abundance of church, hospital, private school, service org thrift shops by me, there are also several privately owned thrift stores in my neck of the woods.

Just so you know, finding a similar (or same) style online doesn't mean that an item is genuine. Most fakes aren't one offs since the counterfeiters generally don't waste their time or resources making just one of an item. Additionally, many fakes are copies of genuine styles, some of which are seemingly correct creeds/serial number and unless one knows what to look for, it's easy to be fooled.

Feel free to come here with other potential or actual purchases.

Thanks for clarifying. My point is that thrifts generally have "donated" items and they often claim immunity (or ignorance) since they don't know the history, don't know that it's illegal even if they aren't selling as genuine and in fact, even admitting an item is fake is illegal.

I would appreciate help on authentication on this Bonnie Cashin bag Thank you for your help.

Where did you get it? I'm surprised it doesn't have lining. It's pretty unusual for the cloth tag to be sewn on all four sides to the leather like that. Are there any other tags or stamps?

No nothing else

I bought at an estate sale
I'm sorry, I don't know definitely. It looks like a Bonnie Cashin design and the tag looks legit, but I don't feel comfortable calling it genuine.

I always have luck pulling up the serial numbers and I think this is the first fake I've come across. I really do appreciate your input, as I wouldn't want to resell a fake. Looks like I get to keep this one for myself, but I buy a lot of Coach bags and will definitely take you up on your offer in the future! Thanks for being so kind and willing to offer advice.

You guys have been so helpful to me. I'm back again with questions. Got a lot of two "authenticated by entrupy" (lololol) bags from goodwill online. Until today, all of the bags I've gotten for rehab have been legit. The two I got today are SUS. Exhibit A: 8"x9"x3" and I'm not even measuring the strap drop because there's no way the strap is original to the bag. Photos below. Is there any way the actual bag is authentic? Because it's looking improbable.IMG_8344.JPGIMG_8345.JPG

Since it's from Goodwill online, we like to see the link(s).

You say you got 2 bags but I'm only seeing one. The court bag is authentic but the long strap isn't Coach and doesn't come with the bag.

(Every once in a while, Entrupy gets it right.)

And I'm back with Exhibit B. This one most closely resembles a city bag, but the strap is wrong which I didn't notice until I started dunking. Excuse the towels, it's drying after a bath. It also has weird gathering at the corners (photo below as well). So IF it's auth, what is it? Did the city bag ever come with a strap that was too short (~16") and without a buckle to wear crossbody? Measures approx 11"x7"x3".

It's authentic. You don't have a picture of the front of the bag but based on those corners, I'd say it is a convertible clutch #9635. The original strap for the convertible clutch was about 36 inches long.
