I don't see a link to the video.

Most people, especially the ones with YouTube channels, don't take kindly to being told that their information isn't correct. You can't teach someone who doesn't want to be taught and believes themself to be an expert. All you end up doing is antagonising them and maybe even making them think that the people at this PurseForum place are a bunch of smart-arses.
Yes, lesson learned on this one.

View attachment 4744672 View attachment 4744673 View attachment 4744674 I commented on this video because I genuinely wanted to know if the bag was authentic or not and not to be mean in any way. The response to my comment took an ugly turn at the end! Yikes!

Here’s my comment and a link to the video. What do y’all think?

Hmmm...the link is showing up on my post at the bottom.

Here - I’ll try again:

This might work:

I watched it and although she's better than some Youtube how-to-ers, she still "authenticates" based on inaccurate information, non-apples to apples comparisons and she also contradicts herself and her feelings toward "replicas" (as she likes to call them).

My feelings:
I have no idea whether the bag is authentic because although she claims the bag is "pre-creed," it sounds as though there's a creed with a random serial number (ending in 0077 or whatevver she described). But she never showed the creed.

And her comparison to the black Stewardess with a post-1993 creed could very well be invalid if the black bag is fake. (There are so many fake stewardesses with "correct" style numbers.)

I giggled when I saw her compare the "solid brass" on the buckle on the stewardess to the "solid brass" buckle on her supposedly authentic Taft bag, another well faked style.

I was confused by her statements of "I don't buy replicas, I don't support replicas, I don't own replicas" yet her comfort with the bag that may or may not be fake.

ETA: Her response to you also contradicts herself. She claims you tubers aren't experts yet implies she's an expert since her channel is all about bags.

May I please request an authentication of this Stewardess I just bought from eBay?

Comments: I know it's hard to tell colors from photos and I'm sorry I keep asking but this bag has already been cleaned and conditioned, does it look more rust or british tan? I'm really hoping for rust.

Thank you!!

It's genuine, from some time probably in the very early 1980s to 1987. I don't see "Rust" listed as an available color for any of those years but I'm missing the color charts for 1983 and 1984 and from before 1981. It could be BT, Saddle, or Tabac.
