Sorry I should have asked the seller to provide those photos. Now that you mention it, this might be a fake. The Google images I have seen show a more square flap but this has edges that are more round. Unless its not the Willis city. Hopefully the seller updates.
I saw that too. Plus the edging around the flap is super sloppy.

I'm not @whateve but I looked around. Many didn't have hang tags but some did. If the hangtags are original to the bags, it looks like they were the double sided leather ones.

I think BeenBurned is right. This is the hangtag on mine.

Thank you both! I don't have a red leather hangtag so I will have to use a nickel tag but I really appreciate the information.

FYI: The bottom edge of the strap attachment on one side seems to be trimmed off and the stitching is a different color. It appears to have been resewn.

The bag shown in the current active listing is authentic.

I'm not so concerned about the same bag having been authenticated a few months ago. The listing shows that the seller ended the listing early "because an error in the listing" so it didn't sell at that time.

Ebay gives little choice when ending listings so an error isn't necessarily the reason it was ended.

For those who don't sell, you may not realize this but with fixed price listings, they automatically renew every 30 days (when the listing ends) and although it's easier for sellers to let the listing just renew, some sellers end the listings a day or 2 early in order to relist and have it come up in "by newest" searches. And that may be what the seller did.

My bigger question for the seller would be why it's currently for sale when she had a buyer on May 9 in this listing:

Thanks, BB.
I didn’t notice the second listing from May 9.

Hi I am new here and wish I had known about this place earlier! Recently I got back into Coach because of the new Coach Originals Collection (hence my icon image lol) and started to dive deeper into growing my own collection of the vintage bags. I am now unsure if my old and recent purchases are authentic so seeing the hard work you all do here is appreciative beyond this forum.

I want to preface by apologizing that I may be frequently active in this thread and want to thank you for helping collectors like me.

This listing doesn't have the pictures required to authenticate. See the first post at the top of the page to see what we need. However, I can already tell you there is something seriously wrong with that bag.

Sorry I should have asked the seller to provide those photos. Now that you mention it, this might be a fake. The Google images I have seen show a more square flap but this has edges that are more round. Unless its not the Willis city. Hopefully the seller updates.

The incorrect shape of the flap is a major red flag, but the incredibly poor quality of the stitching on the flap corners cinches it.

It's an authentic Chrystie bag made in 1995. (Remember to include seller ID in future requests.)
FYI: The bottom edge of the strap attachment on one side seems to be trimmed off and the stitching is a different color. It appears to have been resewn.

Darn. I bought after it was confirmed authentic. Debating if I will keep it then. Thank you for catching that!
