@BeenBurned, @whateve, @Hyacinth Thank you so much. The pricing was too good to be true and I blame my quarantine spending habits  I do not wish to publicly accuse the seller of selling a counterfeit- any advice on what to do? For now I asked her to hold on shipping and I contacted Poshmark telling them it is a counterfeit.
It's not a matter of "accusing" when the facts are there! Whether the seller knows it or not and whether this was an honest mistake or not, the law requires that sellers know items are authentic before listing. Clearly, she's not verifying authenticity, having sold this fake as well as having a current active listing for another one.

Refer her here is necessary.

IMO, she needs to be TOLD that the item is fake so she won't relist it.

You can create a bundle to message the seller asking her to cancel. It's not "private" in that if others went searching for it, they could see it, but it's more private than posting on the listing. Or you can try going to the order and seeing if it will let you cancel - should be a Problems with Order / Inquiry drop down in the order details.

Let's try this again... I looked up this ebay seller on purseforum and saw there were posts but the links were broken so I could not tell whether the same item was posted previously. Thank you all for the previous help on the Poshmark order. The seller responded and the order will be cancelled.

Item: Coach black Court

The bag is authentic. The strap wasn't made for that bag. It is much newer and the metals don't match.

Would the metals not match as in there is a big color difference? I am fine with a newer strap as long as long as it is not a jarring difference when seen casually (not with an expert authenticating eye)
In the seller's defense, she does disclose that "The strap is a coach replacement ."

The original brass is more of a matte color finish whereas the replacement is shiny. Also, the color is slightly different. (I don't think the average person would notice the difference since both are gold.)

Comments: Bought it impulsively without researching/knowing about this forum..was not a good idea looking back on it, but really hoping it's not a fake. Thank you so much in advance!

This is about the first order, which you say has been cancelled, so ignore it if that's already been done.

The best thing to do is to contact the seller and tell her that you don't believe it's authentic and it's been pointed out to you that the strap wasn't made by Coach. Please don't accept any offers to reduce the price. There are other problems with the bag other than just the strap.

Hi Hyacinth, I am new to this forum and trying to educate myself on vintage coach purses. For this listing other than the strap, the bottom of the purse and sides seem different than the authentic court bag, don’t know to read creeds that well, so there might be clue there too. What other things make this purse not authentic? Thank you beforehand for your time.

There weren't any photos of the bottom of the first purse that was asked about, the one at Poshmark. Is that the one you mean?

The bag the seller listed on Ebay and that Whateve mentioned in her post is older and is genuine except for the strap which is much too recent for any Court Bag supposedly made in the 1990s, not just the metal color but the actual strap clips themselves. It may be a real Coach strap but it doesn't belong with that mid-1990s Court Bag..I don't see any problem with the bottom of the Ebay bag. The only one that seems to be counterfeit is the one on on Poshmark, they're two separate items.

The Poshmark bag has a serial number font that doesn't match a genuine font in another Court Bag made in the same plant, month and year. The authenticators here have massive photo files of both real and fake Coaches that we use to compare those kinds of details. The strap on the bag at Poshmark isn't a Coach strap at all. But the apparently incorrect serial number font is a strong indication of a counterfeit Coach.

I hope that answers your questions. If not, please let us know.

Hello authenticators,

I'm looking for your help verifying that this 4143 Worth bag is authentic. It's from my collection, not sure where I found it. It's about 11.5 long x 7.5 tall and 4.75" across the base though it's a bit mishapen.

I have an authentic Worth and I can't spot any differences between the two but this color looks like periwinkle. Since I know that's difficult to see, did the Soho line actually come in periwinkle? Poking around, I couldn't find any other Worth bags in this color. The color is a bit duller in person.

As always, thanks for your help!
