I didn't find everydaythings71 posted here on TPF however it looks like she sells on Etsy as GreenbeevintageCo:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/GreenbeevintageCo?ref=l2-about-shopname

She's the seller who restitches in white (mentioned by @houseof999 a while back) over the factory stitching!

This is from the listing you asked about:

Ugh! Here's another example on a Willis.

I thought the white stitching looked wrong on that bag. Why would she do that?

You ladies take my breath away! I must learn to pay more attention to the small things. Thank you so much!

ETA: I just went back and looked at the original posts about the stitching. I can't believe she would do that! Why?? Oh my gosh--compliments at Target and TJ Maxx?? Ladies, you certainly saved me!!

The creed and serial number are almost impossible to read, and if the year code is for 2000, I can't find any other example from that year with the same odd spacing between the month and year codes and the plant code, and the plant code is unreadable.

More opinions are needed. Maybe someone else can see something I'm missing.
Hi Hyacinth, thank you so much for your input. I think I'll pass on the bag after all.

Rather than straining my eyes trying to decipher anything, perhaps @kistae can request a better creed picture from the seller, Nancy Reed Owner of AuntNannysTreasures.

ETA: I strained my eyes anyway and it wasn't too helpful. (April, 2000 Mexico?) I still don't recommend unless the seller sends a better picture.

Thanks for the adjusted photos. This was actually the additional creed photos I asked for as it wasn't initially in the listing. In her initial description, she said the bag was purchased in 1989 and it's been updated to state early 1980s (last I checked). She seems quite genuine based on her previous sales history but I think I'll pass on this. Thanks again.

Well, you trying sticking your camera inside a handbag and take a picture. The creed states the bag was made in Mexico and the number is DON-0525
I bet you read or wrote the number wrong. I've sold many bags, including that style and I've managed to get clear pictures. That style is easier to get a picture since the bag is large. It is much harder on some of the smaller bags.

With all the fakes on the market, you should really try to get a clear picture so your buyers can feel confident they are going to get an authentic bag.

Yes I agree with that. I definitely need to learn how to take better photos. I do appreciate all the traffic this has created for my shop. One final note, I purchased this either late 80s or early 90s from the Coach outlet store in Tuscola, Illinois.

Sheesh, with today's cameras and phones, it doesn't take a pro to get good clear pictures!
I know really! A Stewardess? C’mon. You want hard? Try inside a Winnie, or Abbie. Or inside the kiss lock of a Shoulder Purse!! Props to all the sellers taking clear pics of the inside of a kiss lock pouch.
I’m not seller yet, but have taken Creed pics for this thread and have looked at thousands of Creed pics over the past few years.

Lol, she must be a super fan of contrast stitching! You know, what you see on the 930x Bleeker family, late 90s, of which I am a regular fan  And several of my late 80s early 90s BT bags have white stitching too. I would draw the line at adding contrast stitching to a bag. :whut:

Based on my lightened and brightened picture of your creed (shown in my previous post), I do believe the serial number is D0N-9525 and if it says "made in Mexico" the bag is genuine.

But you definitely didn't buy it in the 80s or 90s because it wasn't made until April of 2000.

As someone who has taken thousands of pictures of creeds and tags in bags of all sizes, I'd like to offer a hint. If you use a plastic straw, spoon, spatula, toothpick or other similar utensil, you can get decent and legible pictures of the inside of a bag, even small ones.

This is the creed from a mini belt bag, about 6" wide x about 2" thick. This is a tiny bag but it can be done!
Pictures show the original and a slightly brightened version.

Just so you know, some styles are closely faked and the stewardess is one of them. (By closely faked, I mean that the details are seemingly correct, the bag looks like the style it's copying and the creed has the "correct" style number.) Therefore clear and legible pictures are crucial in order for you to prove authenticity and for buyers to know what they're getting.
