Listing: coach vintage kimball zip bag
Seller: guadis26

Normally, I don't comment on Poshmark listings but this one is worth discussing.

I don't recommend "Poshmark Ambassador" guadis26 after learning that the bag you're asking about was actually sold on Mercari and purchased by another buyer (a TPFer). It was sent to guadis26 in error and instead of returning it to the seller so the seller could send it to the right buyer, guadis26 kept it and resold it (twice)!

It's explained here - my post and those I quoted:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...oach-fakes-here.824098/page-455#post-33685473

ETA: I see that it doesn't appear to be a new listing for the same bag but it doesn't hurt to reiterate the seller's lack of integrity.

The purple bag resurfaces!! I’m somewhat amazed at how small a world it is on TPF and vintage coach bags, haha. Hi @Ireiki4u! That original buyer was me! I don’t even want the bag anymore, but maybe we can talk about what we can do! I’ll message you.

I’m still waiting to hear back from Mercari about it (their initial response is that they are going to thoroughly review and get back to me what action they will take) and I’m unsure of what I can do with Poshmark since the original listing on Mercari was taken off.

I feel somewhat offended. The name of Coach should not be linked to something so ugly like this.

Then you’d better stay away from the Coach pop up store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. They are CUTTING UP vintage NYC purses and sewing different pieces back together as Frankenstein-purses. Different colors and styles in the scariest “artsy” designs. Then selling them for upwards of $1k. My friend and I were shocked, wish I had taken a pic to show you.

It's official. Coach management have officially lost their fecking MINDS.

That's not artsy, that's sacrilege.

This link to that very long page ' The Coach Screed ' was posted a few months ago but maybe it's worth posting again. Any vintage Coach lover looking for a way to spend a few spare hours is urged to read it.

Good thing I didn't go to Coach's pop up store in New York city last September, was planning to go but got too busy with other things. Lucky me. Lol..

Welcome to tPF!

It's genuine and made in 1998. It wasn't called a Kelly Bag though, I think that Hermes owns the rights to that name. It's actually called a Bridle Top Handle Bag.

Believe me, we were thoroughly disgusted. The purse pieces didn’t look worn out so they took perfectly good purses. They just made hideous creations out of them.

They also had “rehabbed” purses that looked nothing like the awesome rehabs posted on the rehab thread. The purses were still dirty and smelly and they were charging over $595.00 for Willis, $495 for a Regina with no long strap. None of the purses had been dunked, shaped or conditioned and yet they were marketed as “restored”. I was really shocked that Coach thought this pop up was acceptable and a good idea..
