Thank you and be safe!

I have used authentication service here many times now since I became a fan of vintage Coach. Honestly I don't know what to do without this thread. Paid authentication companies may be good at certain brands, but when it comes to Coach, no body elsewhere beat the knowledge and passion of the wonderful Authenticators we have here.
I agree. The passion, knowledge and willingness to share it here are amazing.

Thank you. My potential customer isn't happy with TPF authentication. I don't have the energy to argue with someone who appears to be shopping for "a client".

Since when are ANY authenticators licensed or certified, regardless of where they authenticate? And certified by whom?

And since when is vintage Coach hardware engraved? Engraved with WHAT?

Why should your bag be expected to have a COA from Keeks, which is a Dallas seller?

The LAST thing you need is a buyer like that who doesn't know shyte about authenticity. In fact he doesn't even know shyte about Coach. The 'client' probably knows even less than he does. Unless of course he's actually the client, which wouldn't surprise me.

ETA - and as for TheRealReal, I submit this:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ining-casts-doubt-on-no-fakes-pledge.1019948/
and from CNBC.com:
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/05/the...ge-is-threatened-by-poor-training-quotas.html
"The RealReal’s shares plunge as poor training and tough quotas cast doubt on ‘no fakes’ pledge...

    • "The RealReal is an online luxury consignment store that differentiates itself by saying everything is 100% real. The CEO has said there are “no fakes on our site” and “every single item [is] authenticated.”
    • CNBC spoke with nearly three dozen former employees and obtained internal company documents that show not everything is authenticated by an expert and employees work under strict quotas that lead to fakes being sold on the site.
    • CNBC read nearly 1,400 online reviews of the company and found that fakes, damaged items and mistakes are top complaints..."

  • but wait, there's more!

" ...Copywriters said they had little training on how to spot fakes and were hired to write descriptions of the items to post on the website. Broadly speaking, there isn’t any formal training or certification for authenticators who handle luxury items in the industry. But those who do this type of work say fakes are becoming more and more difficult to spot."

Ben The Authenticator might be interested in the dark red part.

ITA. I don't have enough time to teach anyone Coach history. Someone who claims to be an authenticator really should know better by now.

I don't blame you. There are already too many people claiming the title of "authenticator" who are so utterly clueless that they would see a 50 dollar bill with a picture of Bozo The Clown on it and say it was genuine.

I wonder where he's finding all those "certified" authenticators??? (See the ETA in my last post).

There's at least one company that claims to be a "certified authenticator." Certified by whom? It's anyone's guess!

Hi everyone. First-time poster here. Would anyone be able to authenticate this bag for me? IA6CDE47D-3EBA-48B9-8CD5-6D709C7184C8.jpeg have recently gone a little crazy for vintage Coach, but I wouldn’t have made any purchases if I had known this site existed. I’m testing the format with this first post, and then I’ll post all of my purchases. Thank you so much!

This is a City Bag and the creed is: H7M-9790
