My sister bought this bag for me. Not sure where from but she brought it to me today and said she thought I would like it. Lol she wasn't wrong.
She also said she wasn't sure if authentic or not.
It seems to be, but what do I know? It's adorable though and already moved in. I can ask her where she bought it from but I really doubt she would tell me, maybe someone from the hospital she works at. Who knows. Lol

It's fine! That's a nice sister you have!

Thank you. My potential customer isn't happy with TPF authentication. I don't have the energy to argue with someone who appears to be shopping for "a client".

I have used authentication service here many times now since I became a fan of vintage Coach. Honestly I don't know what to do without this thread. Paid authentication companies may be good at certain brands, but when it comes to Coach, no body elsewhere beat the knowledge and passion of the wonderful Authenticators we have here.

I get that but although we know what we're talking about here, the posts are considered "opinions" (albeit educated ones) and generally aren't accepted in cases of disputes. That's why there are companies that offer professional documentation to submit to ebay, paypal and/or credit card companies.

Often a professional authentication helps reassure buyers that they're getting what they're paying for and can also add credibility to a seller's listing. It's usually not necessary nor recommended in most cases for brands like Coach, Dooney, Kate Spade, etc. since the return isn't as high. But in luxury brands (LV, Hermes, Chanel), it's often recommended that sellers have them done prior to listing since buyers are paying several hundred or thousands of dollars for highly faked brands.

As for companies, some companies have a minimal number of "experts" who try to authenticate all brands. Other companies have "brand specialists" or just do a single brand, which IMO is a better way to get an accurate authentication.

While there have been cases in which ebay (or another site) has accepted TPF or ebay board experts' authentications, it's the exception rather than the rule which is why pros are sometimes needed.

How did I do with this eBay purchase? I bought it on a whim. The first two pics are mine and the second two are from the eBay post.

I believe it’s a genuine 2006 Chelsea, but I didn’t find many bags with this color and the creed stamped L0693-10399.

After I uploaded my pics, I see the faint X on the creed - would that mean factory or exclusive for a department store?
It's authentic from 2006. I have it as a leather medium duffle but I don't know whether that's the full official name of the style.

Good evening! Hope everyone out there is enjoying their weekend.
I picked up this Murphy Willis (?) today and just wanted to check with the experts to make sure it’s a good one. Thank you!
