Hi,
please authenticate when you can. My daughter bought this at goodwill. I don’t think it’s real because of what the creed tag says. She only paid $7.00 so she’s not out much if it’s fake.
Thank you

WOW. You found a tough one.

Every time I look at a different pic or magnification, I change my mind. There are 3 kinds of "Bean Bag" creeds, obviously fake, genuine, and so close to genuine that it's almost impossible to tell the difference. This is either genuine or really really close. I'm a bit concerned about the H in the coach logo, but the texture of the leather itself looks right. Also the bag itself is correct for the very short time period the Bean Bag stamp was used so that's something else in its favor.

Can you please take a photo of the D-rings holding the strap on? And if you could get a straight-on photo of the serial number, that would help too. I know it's a PITA with small narrow bags like this, but I really want to be sure. I'm leaning toward genuine but that "H" in the Coach logo bothers me. If you could get a clear pic of that too, even better. Thanks!

Thank you! The H looks much better in those photos. I'm sure now that it's genuine, probably made in late 1990 and was called a Scout Bag, style 9890.

What about the creed had you worried, the "Bean Bag" name?

Yes, why did they do that?

Long story, but Daria48 mentioned them in her early versions of her Fake Numbers List and then posted a correction. You'll find it here:

Coach only used that stamp in handbags right at the end of 1990 and maybe very early 1991, so any genuine bag with a Bean Bag stamp would have to have been in production during that very short time period. The Scout Bag fits that time window.

Hello Kind Authenticators,
When time allows, can you please authenticate this Coach bag charm in my possession. No link or online seller, but I did not purchase it directly from Coach as it sold out. Thank you!
