Can you please authenticate this one. Found at a thrift. Serial # 388-2824. Also what is the name if authentic. I have not come across this one before. Says made in NYC. The inside zipper pull looks silver yet all other hardware is brass. thanks

View attachment 4653133 View attachment 4653134 Hi @whateve, you ID’d this bag yesterday as an Asheville. Seller sent me picture of the creed and I was hoping you could take a look since you mentioned this style is often counterfeited. Thank you for your expertise!!
That one is authentic.

In the future, please include the info required by post 1, page 1 including seller ID and a link to the listing.

It's authentic. It's probably a Rambler 9735, if it measures about 12 x 9 x 4.5 inches. Remember to provide measurements if you would like an ID. It was probably made in the 80s. It is common for the inside zipper pulls to lose whatever coating they had on them and look silver or gray.

Have a couple to check on, these are local and I don't have a link to share.

First is a briefbag that reminds me of a Willis family member and the second is a court bag. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

The court is authentic. The briefcase is probably okay but I can't read the creed.
I lighted the creed but I still can't read the prefix.

Please update on Poshmark's response to your appeal.

As promised...

On Monday my account was reinstated but my listings still gone, on Tuesday I got email saying that they didn't forget my case, thanks for my patience, on Wednesday I got another email saying that my account should be all back to normal by now, apologies for the inconvenience, but my listings were still gone so I replied to them, saying that I won't stop till they are back and my record of "violations" gone.
Today I got another "very" apologetic email, saying my listings are back (they are), my violations gone as well, and their moderation team is looking at how to improve their system regarding removals.

They did the right thing so I thanked them, and suggested to include in their TOS that reporting out of spite or to get rid of competitors, should warrant the closing of accounts.

I want to also say thanks to all of you here that supported me and authenticated my items again, so I could prove their authenticity to PM, if they ruled against me. They didn't even ask for proof so I didn't send them, what makes me think they realized why my items were reported and had nothing to do with being real or fake.

No concerns--just curious. I've read and re-read the guides--so much info. I think it's helpful to see a really old bag and not just read a description of what it could look like. Thanks, as always, for your time and expertise. Not sure if it's actually 1960's vintage. Very interested to hear opinions (actually read them, I guess).

According to the info that we've seen it's NOT 1960s, I don't think there were any tags or stampings that early except maybe the early version of the leather hangtag. I hope Whateve will correct me if I'm a bit off on the dates but early to mid 1970s is where I'd put it with the black metal tag.

I'm not sure why the seller is using "tan" in the title description.
