I
recently sold this bag and the buyer stated that because of the more forward pocket placement of the creed that it prompted her to ask a “vintage coach expert” on Facebook what he thought and was told it was not authentic because of this placement. Now my poor buyer thinks she may have a fake bag. Thank you in advance as I am deeply troubled by this.
Gee, I wonder who that supposed "vintage coach expert" is!
It is authentic. If that expert knew more, he would know that many station bags have creeds inside the front pocket instead of on the back wall. I have a theory that the piece for the back pocket and the front of the bag were nearly identical so sometimes either the wrong piece was stamped before the bag was assembled, or they put the creed piece in the wrong place.

If the pictures you've posted are gefrpe123 's own, it's probably okay but she shouldn't be using stolen stock images in her listing. Clearly, she has a camera and can take pictures so buyers know that she has the item in her possession and that picture are of that item. Buyers shouldn't have to ask for pictures because they aren't in the listing.

There's one more picture we need. There should be a small white tag hidden somewhere inside the bag, probably buried in a pocket. You can either request a picture of it or post a picture after you receive the bag.

You are so right she should have been using her own pics - I will make sure to be careful of that too in the future. I will be sure to send that pic once I get the item! Ok thanks sooo much!!!

Can this “fb authenticator” (who is who you think he is) be reported to eBay for inaccurate authentication?

No. He didn't authenticate it through ebay. He's entitled to his opinion.
Maybe if you refer your buyer here to the posts confirming authenticity, perhaps SHE can let the facebook "expert" know that he is wrong and might learn by reading here!

I have, and he’s since changed his answer...
That's my dad your talking about and he changed his thoughts on that bag as soon as he saw the creed stamp he told the buyer it was real....WAY before this all started. There are always 2 sides to the story so please don't be so judgemental before you know all the facts.

Whatever nameless male "expert" gave that opinion was TOTALLY wrong. Early Station Bags DID have the creed stamped on the back panel of the underflap pocket. The bag is completely genuine, made in NYC probably in the early 1980s.

I hope your buyer gets her advice from other sources in the future. Please send her the link to this post:

ETA - And from the other comment, it's exactly the expert I though it would be. I saw the same posts at Ebay too. He's also made a mistake in the date of a bag just a few posts away from the one asking about YOUR bag. We've seen other mistakes from the same source.

Experience doesn't always guarantee factual knowledge.

This is a bag that's on Poshmark. I just asked her for a picture of the Creed and someone bought it like 5 seconds after I asked so I never did get it. Is this an authentic style? And if so, what is it? I know I don't have anymore pictures, that's all there was. If it's not helpful, ignore me. So sorry. It's just darn cute.

This is the first time I've heard of an "authenticator" judging a bag before seeing the creed. SMH!

What legitimate "expert" does that?
