Hi! I decided to get this keychain and wanted to know if it was authentic.

Item: station bag keychain
Seller: justgirlythings
Link:

Comments: There’s no back of the keychain in the photos, let me know if I should just wait until I receive it. Thanks for your help! Also, when were these made? I see a daypack, duffel bag keychain also in this collection. All so cute.

I skipped it because I didn't recognize the box and I wasn't sure. When you get it, post again with more photos.
I think the box is fine and I don't see a problem with the fob either.

Here are some examples from Google images.

PLEASE, don't buy any more "Coaches" without authenticating them here BEFORE you buy. There's nothing about that bag that's even close to a genuine Coach.

It;s also a good idea to keep your authentication requests to one forum. While most of the posters over at the Ebay Fashion discussion board are qualified to authenticate Coach, there's no vetting process there at all and any Ebay member is free to post their opinions, some of which can be wrong in a really big way. Ebay's forum is actually managed by a company called "Lithium" that restricts how much and what kind of information can be included in a reply and they have been known to remove posts and even suspend posters when an item listed in an Ebay auction is identified as fake. Just for the record, Lithium is also the same company that runs Comcast / Xfinity's onsite forums, and have been responsible for removing dozens or maybe a hundred or more posts about subjects that Comcast doesn't want seen or discussed, such as the recent deluge of complaints about Turner Classic Movies being moved to an extra-cost low-interest sports channel group that has absolutely no connection to classic movies and has been rightly called a "money grab" by the posters affected, many of whom are older and retired customers who enjoy classic movies over some of the dreck that's currently on cable these days (yes, I'm one of them and my post was removed too). Lithium's methods are NOT customer-friendly or even truth-friendly. JMO.

Also, rumor has it that some of the same people who post here at tPF also post at Ebay, so you have the same depth of experience here if not more, and can depend on getting a correct answer without any forum censorship.
Thank you for this. And especially for the comment about TCM. We were wondering what they were thinking with the bundling of Turner (the only channel worth watching) with the sports channels. I wish TCM would develop an app for the Roku. OK, sorry, back to the original topic. :-)

Deleted Post

It's genuine but it's NOT vintage. True vintage handbags and accessories are defined as being 20 years old or older. This is one of a series of remakes of some older styles that Coach made around 2011 which is when this example was made. The original version was just called a Backpack, I don't know what name Coach gave to this remake.

Hello folks, would you please authenticate this bag—

Item: I believe it is a Coach Swinger Bag
Listing number: None.
Seller: None.
Link: No link. I bought it at a thrift store.
Comments: Measurements are approx. 11 1/2” x 6 1/2” x 3 1/2”. The number reads 195-4924. I feel sorry for this bag as it looks like it’s been put through the wringer.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this!coach swinger bag - 1 (4).jpg coach swinger bag - 1 (1).jpgcoach swinger bag - 1.jpg coach swinger bag - 1 (2).jpgcoach swinger bag - 1 (3).jpg

Item: Coach Brown Leather Shoulder/Hand Bag FREE SHIPPING
Listing number: 264427007911
Seller: rxc4613
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/264427007911

Comments: I have yearned for a Legacy Thompson bag for a long time but they don't come up as frequently as some other bags, and when they do they are always expensive. So when I saw this one, in good condition and poorly listed, I decided to make an offer and I was pleased to get it for only $40 shipped!

I hesitated to buy it because it is missing the circular gold coach medallion and the whipstitch hangtag - and I always loved those details about the Thompsons - but I decided that it was the bag that I really wanted and so I went for it!

I believe that it is a Mahogany Legacy Thompson Julia Shoulder Bag 11376. I won't ask you to confirm that or to authenticate it because there isn't a picture of the creed, but if you see any red flags that I've missed, then I'd really appreciate your input. Thank you!

Yep, and if you had a chance to read any of the posts at the Xfinity forum on the subject you'd see what I mean. All sorts of corporate BS and double-speak "Our customers watch an average of only 2 movies on TCM every month...", literally dozens of posts started and removed almost immediately - it was just amazing to watch. I kept track for about 3 weeks until almost all the posts, started as new threads most of the time, had been zapped back into their component electrons. TWENTY THREE PAGES of posts!
From here
https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Chann...-TURNER-CLASSIC-MOVIES-TO-SPORTS/td-p/3256093
to here
https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Chann...CLASSIC-MOVIES-TO-SPORTS/td-p/3256093/page/23
and heaven only knows how many that were removed. And of course the Comcast bots' infamous cheery canned response "Was your question answered? Mark a post as the Best Answer!"

I haven't seen anything likeit since I think it was 2006 when a massive flood of scammers slammed into Ebay as soon as Meg Whitman opened the gates to sellers from mainland China and suddenly the listings were full to bursting with things like LV and Chanel handbags for 99 dollars each, name brand high end sporting goods at all sorts of ridiculous prices and in obviously fraudulent listings, and several hundred more would appear every Thursday. We complained on the discussion board for 3 months and every single post on the subject of the Chinese scammers was deleted by Ebay. You could search the internet for weeks now and never find a hint of what happened. Many of us were staying up until 2 or 3AM from late Thursday to Saturday night reporting all that garbage and it took the geniuses at Ebay three months to figure out how to slow it down. It makes me sick just to think how many Ebayers received cheap fakes or had their credit card information stolen during those 3 months.

None at all that I can think of, it was a set of photos of one of those 2011 remakes of a vintage Backpack #529. I don't even remember if there was a link with the photos, unless maybe it was someone advertising their own auction and I just didn't notice but someone else did. Apparently she sells, or someone with the same ID sells, on Ebay but mostly jewelry, no recent Coaches at all.
