Comments: I can only find bags that look similar to this when I google made after 1994, called the equestrian. Is that what this one is? The dimensions are a bit bigger on this one (12x7.5x3.5) and the strap is also different.

It's authentic. It's an Oliver bag #9902, made around 1992.

It's genuine but it's NOT vintage. True vintage handbags and accessories are defined as being 20 years old or older. This is one of a series of remakes of some older styles that Coach made around 2011 which is when this example was made. The original version was just called a Backpack, I don't know what name Coach gave to this remake.

I believe it's a genuine vintage Basic Bag, style number 9455, from the late 1980s.

Hi. I recently purchased this bag at Goodwill and when I got home and looked up the serial number I failed to find any info. I also tried to search by image and nothing comes up. Please look over the pictures and tell me if you think or know it to be authentic or a fake. I've never encountered a Coach bag with a letter at the end of the 2nd set of numbers/letters. Thank you.

It's genuine, the F in front of the last set of numbers means it was made for the Factory Outlet stores, and the P behind the last set of numbers means it was a pilot bag, a test version to determine if the style would be OKd for full production and to see what changes might have to be made if it did, I don't have a name and many Made for Factory (MFF) and pilot bags won't have any records on the internet and would never have been on Coach's website.

Yup, sometimes Entrupy gets it right, but I think it's more luck than skill and knowledge.

Yep, you'd think that just by simple mathematics they'd have a 50-50 chance getting it right, but most of the time they can't even manage THAT.
