Hi Hyacinth,
Please excuse my silly question, I saw that before but don't really know the meaning of "nm", is there anything I should worry about buying from that website? Thanks.
As you probably know, there is a short window of time after posting a comment that allows for editing, an hour or two, I believe. However as users, if for any reason, we what to delete a post we made, we are unable to (I read somewhere here, I think by Vlad, one of the owners, it is not technically feasible to have posters remove posts; however, the staff can). By editing though, we can delete the content we have just posted, but need some character to remain in the post, even a punctuation mark or emoti, and save that as the post.

This is a bag I have in my possession that I have not had authenticated yet but have been curious about since I have noticed a couple of different versions of the D8P serial numbers. I have seen a couple of listings where the serial number fonts look like this, and several that are more uniform specifically the D, 8, and the 4's. The listings I have seen with 4's that look like the ones pictured have X stamps. Sorry the image is dark, it was actually difficult to get a creed photo showing the wording clearly.

I just wanted to say thank you to our wonderful Authenticators and Rehabbers! I have finished the rehabs of my cherry red Madison Carlyle 4401 from 1994 and forest green Madison Drake 4420 from 1995 and they both came out great! I paid a total of only $86 for 2 fabulous vintage coach bags that were hand-made in Italy and I am thrilled! :hbeat:

Here are the threads showing before and after pics of these bags for your interest:

Comments: I was surprised and ecstatic to get this bag! I saw it on ebay today but I had to go out this afternoon so I couldn't watch the auction. I just picked a number out of the air and entered a max bid and I didn't have much hope because there were 36 watchers! When I got home tonight I was amazed to see that I had won it for only $66 (including dustbag!)

It looks genuine to me but I haven't paid yet and I been fooled before - so I would appreciate your expert opinion(s), thank you.

Also, do you happen to know how much it originally cost back in 1995? I am just curious. Thanks again!

Genuine, and at an amazing price too! Congratulations  It listed for $398 in 1995 and 1996.

Nice that it comes with the dustbag!

I was watching and thought it would go for much higher too! Glad it went to you! Congrats!

The catalog is from late 1996 and Forest was a 1995 color.

Item: Madison Carlyle 4401 (1994, Italy)
Seller: Local Charity Gift Shop, $20
Comments: I surely don't need another Carlyle bag because I already have one in black, but this one is red and in very good condition - so what could I do?! I caved in and bought it of course! Please offer an opinion on authenticity, thanks so much!

Edited to add: Per Hyacinth the red color was called Cherry in 1994 and a 1996 catalog page for the Carlyle (no red) lists the original price as $286.

You would have been crazy to leave it behind, because it's RED!

I found a bag in question! https://posh.mk/upLJeXcw02 Coach backpack. I've never seen this style before. Seller on Poshmark... Tay5hite is her user name. Trying to avoid having to return it due to a knockoff. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!View attachment 4631389 View attachment 4631390 View attachment 4631391 View attachment 4631392 View attachment 4631393 View attachment 4631394

Not having seen it before doesn't mean it's fake. It only took me less than 5 minutes using the most common search engine to find what seems to be the same style on a different selling site. Did you order it before confirming it was a genuine style? Or haven't you ordered it yet? The Poshmark listing says Not For Sale.

There's another one on Tradesy - Atskill Leather Backpack according to the seller, which of course doesn't prove either one is genuine. Do you believe the one you bought or are thinking of buying is fake, and why?

More opinions are welcome, I don't usually do newer styles.

I usually skip over and don't authenticate Poshmark listings because I don't like or agree with the way PM or its sellers often do business but since Hyacinth requested other opinions, I'll comment.

The backpack looks good to me too.
