Wow, calm down @loraclynn2915. At no point did I or anyone call you that. I was referring to the original comment by another poster that I found amusing and my comment is about bags I come across in future about regardless of who the seller is. FYI, I have stuck up for you before. I have requested authentication on your behalf as well because you told me you have a hard time navigating here on TPF. If I happened to see a bag listed by you seem not authentic, I have informed you with no personal vested interest. I did all that because I know you do mean well and try to educate people on Poshmark and you care about not selling fakes. I am actually surprised to see you wanting to keep the hangtag. I have never seen you do that before and find it disappointing. Run your business as you please but if you're going to turn into THAT seller whose selling behaviors are frowned upon I'm done helping. What are you going to do next? Threaten to keep the strap for a lower offer because they sell for X amount of money? SMH.

Wow did I hit a nerve? You dont need to defend yourself w me! I have always appreciated your help & abided by your expertise. I feel insulted to have been made a laughing stock here. Esp when some lowballer wanted a cheap price & I wanted to keep the vtg tag! Omg... Very sad response from u of all people
Of course you did! All my knowledge I used to help you with I gained here thanks to the wonderful authentication team here! Here you are telling the authenticators off. Do not insult them please. As I said to you before, I wouldn't suggest losing a sale over a hang tag but again that's your decision on how you run your business.

@houseof999This was a total lowballer

It was a lowball offer and yes well worth keeping my beautiful nyc bag w its tag! Thanku❤

Lowballer
If someone is a lowballer, there are several options:
  • You make a counteroffer with a price you can afford or that you're happy with
  • You don't sell to that person and block them.
But to decide to keep a hang tag, something that Coach gives away for free if you ask for it or to end the listing and keep an item rather than sell is cutting off your nose to spite your face, don't you think?

In my opinion, if a listing shows a bag with the hangtag included, that's how the bag should be sold. But to hold a hangtag hostage because you think an offer is too low, that is tacky and makes a seller look bad.

JMHO.

I just noticed an interesting coincidence, TWIN fake stamps from the same source at the Ebay Fashion discussion group and I think at least one of those fakes has been discussed here too. It isn't often that you can point to two different fakes with different serial numbers and say with certainty that both were made by the same crooks using the same stamps, although the serial number stamp apparently has fully changeable digits. Nothing earth-shattering and both bags have already been deemed fake, but I just wanted to post them for the fakes geeks among us who collect this sort of thing. Both serials have an invalid plant code or one that doesn't match the creed wording. The creed stamps are identical, I've seen that mix of wide and narrow fonts in the creed in other fakes too. .

AS I said, just some interesting info. I wonder how many more of these are out there from the same source?

Yes you're right and in fact I did move on one I'd been watching for a couple of weeks for a third of that lowest offer price WITH it's hangtag no less. *rolls eyes Granted it was not NYC but it did end a month long search for a solid black buckle riding bag. I'll find an NYC to use as a travel cosmetic bag. I get it though, sellers want and need to make a profit or we wouldn't be able to find these beautiful bags for our enjoyment. I just didn't care for the way that went down with the seller changing her mind on her own offer.

I do a little reselling on eBay and the like (no bags yet), and I think this was simply unacceptable of this seller. You are being very kind to her, which speaks well of you! But I can't even imagine telling a potential buyer I will accept their offer only if I withhold part of the item. I hope you soon get the bag you are looking for.

Everyone, I want to apologize for what happened today. I absolutely do not engage with anyone acting like that hence my complete silence prior to the lunch hour. I am actually very sorry I ever made an offer on that listing and will probably move off of Poshmark entirely for Coach bags. It is not an insult to me to be called a lowballer, contrary to what some may think. I had never interacted with that seller before so I had no idea how she reacted to offers, so I picked a number in my budget as a starting point and would have been thrilled to meet in the middle, even go a little over budget, and honestly I could not care less about the hangtag, as silly as it is to remove it to save a few bucks, it was clearly a way for the seller to work with me to get to an agreed price and a sale. Would I have done that particular thing, no, but to each their own. What bothered me was for her to reneg on her offer, but the hangtag did contribute, plus her lowest price ended up just too far out of my budget. I am certain she will find a buyer who will pay asking price, so everyone will be happy. So anyway, my apologies to the community here, especially for it to have happened in this particular thread where kind people are and have been working hard for many years to help others find their way to quality and beautiful bags.
