Hi everyone, when time allows, will you have a look at this one? I'm mulling it over. Is it normal for the strap edge to be exposed and show the natural leather color on this or any vintage bag? Look like the correct hang tag? Strap drop says 18 inches but I'm thinking it should probably be longer since it's adjustable? Thank you much in advance.

1- Sometimes. Older bags didn't use a ton of edgepaint like newer bags seem to do

2 - Probably

3 - I',m not sure why the strap measurement is a problem? 18 inches on ONE of the settings, probably the one seen in the photo. If you want exact measurements minimum and maximum I suggest you ask the seller to measure it both ways, even Coach's measurements can vary. Be grateful she actually used a ruler in a few of the photos.

What matters is that it's genuine.

It's an authentic Paris Bag from the late 1980s. The hang tag looks fine. I've seen worn-down strap edges on Lightweights like that. They seem to have been made with a layer of brown material (I don't think it is leather) in the center that is exposed when the edges are worn.

I totally agree, and yes I am so happy when there's rulers in photos. Seems so easy to do, its amazing most sellers can't manage to think of it. Thanks so much for looking.

Rulers hardly ever work for me when photographing. They don't bend along the curves of the bag. They show reflections and aren't usually very readable in pictures. They cover up portions of the bag. I don't have enough hands to hold the bag, the ruler and the camera.

Hi Authenticators
I found an interesting handbag here and I am curious to see if you think it is genuine. The photos aren't great, but hopefully it is enough. Thank you.

Thank you again!
It's authentic. It's a watermelon satchel # 9441, made in the early to mid 1970s.

Hello ladies! Your help would be much appreciated in authenticating this Bedford bag.
I found it at a 2nd hand store, but I'm not sure about it, especially because of the circular mark near the creed. I've heard that means it's a fake? I've seen it a lot on vintage bags online. Anyway, the approximate measurements (it's hard to be accurate when the purse is all smooshed) are 9" H x 9.5" W x 3" D
