Item: West End Mini Hobo 9470 (Dark Red, Released in 2000 for $228)
Seller: Salvation Army Store, $6

Comments: Please give an opinion about authenticity and if possible confirm that 9470 is the West End Haircalf Mini Hobo? If found what I think is the correct bag on the Wayback Machine but I was unable to open the listing to check the style number or dimensions. I did discover that the Medium HC West End hobo came in Dark Red and this appears to be the same color. My bag looks like the mini hobo, but I know that Coach made a lot of bags in the West End line. Thanks in advance!

It's fine.

The image on the Wayback is the same stock image I have for 9470:

Hello BeenBurned, Thank you for these photos of creeds! Are you able to let me know how the upside down Gs happened?

People make mistakes. People do stupid things. People come to work drunk or stoned or otherwise incapacitated. People get PO'd at their bosses and indulge in small cases of industrial sabotage. Take your pick. The possibilities are endless.

I hope you don't think we have crystal balls or access to time travel that allows us to go back and watch things like that as they happen so we can figure out WHY it happened. I'm still trying to figure out the 2016 election..

Shyte happens. People are stupid. Period.

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site - this is my first post but I have read the first message in this thread. Hopefully I have included all the information for you to assist me in authenticating the bag. I think it's a Ramblers Legacy, made in March 1992 (based on some sites I have read). The reason I'm asking about it's authenticity is because in my research online, I haven't seen a creed with the double circle stamped above the creed on the upper right. In addition, the creed stamping doesn't appear very 'deep' - is it common for this to happen - they they appear to be rubbed away? Please see pictures. Many thanks in advance.CoachVintage1_creed.jpg

Dear authenticators! Request to authenticate please. Thank you!
Item: Side pack?
Seller: thrift store
Link: n/a
Comments; dimensions are about 7.5" height, 6" width, 2" depth. I had a hugely difficult time trying to get a good photo of the creed. Included here are the best 2 that I could get. I hope they are enough to authenticate. The number is B8I-9978.

It's a genuine Small Sidepack

Stamping depths can vary, there's no such thing as "standard depth". And creeds can get worn away from regular use.

I'm really surprised you haven't seen the bullseye mark before, it was stamped on items sent to the outlet from the full price stores and also in bags and other items specially made for the outlets. But it HAS been faked and we've found that stamp in fake bags as well as genuine ones. It can never prove something's genuine.

Yours is a genuine Rambler's Legacy BUT from 2002, not 1992.

I don't know what sites you're getting your information on dates and serial numbers from, but 90 percent of them are probably wrong. THIS one is accurate, please read all of the six Salearea Guides especially the ones on Authenticity Guides, creeds, serial numbers, and the YKK Zipper myth.
