I think I just bought a fake vintage bag. I don't know this number and when I search, I get nothing: 0337-341 Also, a weired serial number of sorts behind the pocket. I didn't pay a lot but just the same, if it's fake I can't re-sell.

I'm not as skilled with knowing the style names as most of the other vintage fanatics but I believe it's a Whitney bag, style 4115.

Someone will correct it if I'm wrong!

It looks like a Whitney to me too.

The stamp on the inside was made by the leather supplier or processor.

Hello BeenBurned, Thank you for these photos of creeds! Are you able to let me know how the upside down Gs happened?

I can't answer how that happened. Maybe @whateve or @Hyacinth would know.

People make mistakes. People do stupid things. People come to work drunk or stoned or otherwise incapacitated. People get PO'd at their bosses and indulge in small cases of industrial sabotage. Take your pick. The possibilities are endless.

I hope you don't think we have crystal balls or access to time travel that allows us to go back and watch things like that as they happen so we can figure out WHY it happened. I'm still trying to figure out the 2016 election..

Shyte happens. People are stupid. Period.

Type that is hand set, as was the case with Coach serial numbers, is especially vulnerable to human error or mischief because each letter and number is individually placed in the machine.
