Hi, I was wondering if you could authenticate a Coach strap for me. The strap and lobster clasp just seems off to me and I was wondering if it’s fake or perhaps I’m just not familiar with this style. I’ve never seen a lobster clasp with COACH stamped on it.View attachment 4597254View attachment 4597255
What bag did this come with? It isn't constructed like a vintage strap and the shapes of the metal parts are off. Coach didn't put logos on vintage strap hardware. I can't tell but it doesn't look like it is the correct font, plus usually a logo will have the cartouche.

The strap came with a vintage Coach Beekman but it was obvious the strap wasn’t the original. The color doesn’t match and it’s not adjustable like I’ve seen on most Beekmans. The actual briefcase does appear to be authentic. I’m assuming the original strap was lost and replaced with this one. I compared the clasp shape to the one on my Willis bag and it’s definitely different.

It's just interesting as it is stamped made in Hungary and would be the first fake I've seen stamped made in Hungary. Thanks
I stand corrected. I'd missed the Hungary stamp and it is possible that the bag MAY be authentic but without a legible serial number on the creed, it's impossible to tell.

@Nelipao10 Please wait for @whateve and/or @Hyacinth to chime in.

Although it's not common to see Hungarian-made fakes, I've seen a few. Actually, there was a recent questionable bag that showed as being made in Hungary with an incorrect (italy) plant code.

Without a clearer credit picture, I can't say for certain. More pictures of details of the bag might point to other construction mistakes. At this point, I'm leaning towards authentic.
