Good evening~
I waited a long time for these and after all that I'm afraid that 3 out of 4 (in my humble opinion) might be fakes? Please confirm or not so I can back up my claim with the seller.
Thank you!

3. bone purse
4. black zip top

Thank you as always!
I usually don't answer on vintage bags although sometimes, I do know the answer to the question.

You are correct. #1 appears authentic. The other 3 are fake.

just when I thought the GW well ran dry...could someone please authenticate these Coach shoes?

Lesson learned...try them on...I'm an 8 1/2, but these are PERFECT! ...go figure :)

Any info is much appreciated...thanks in advance!
The shoes are authentic - and cute!
Hello authenticators! I have been following some of the Coach threads and I am fascinated by vintage Coach. I found this at Goodwill, but did not buy it. I wanted to see if with this pics I took at the store it can be authenticated. The creed did not have country of origin, which I have never seen. It looks like stewardess but taller and with a shorter strap. Leather seemed a bit thin, and the bag has feet:
:ty: If authentic, I'll go back and get it:p
IT's the real deal.

And in today's episode of "What the heck was I thinking?!?"...
I don't remember bidding on a bag with no creed photo, but the DH doesn't have the password to this account, and he thinks I have too many bags anyway, so it must have been me. If authenticity can't be determined without a creed, I'll post it when the bag arrives. :shame:

What a shame! Only the first (black one) is authentic. The brown one has grooves in the turnlock, invalid font, invalid wording for 1994, the wrong style number, totally messed up creed. The bone one has a too short pocket zipper with a frame around it, invalid creed number format, the pocket has no edging, the zipper pull ring is the wrong shape and size. The black one has the always fake J8Y prefix.

Can I just ask, when you talk about the "grooves in the turnlock," are you referring to the back plate of the turnlock mechanism itself, or the back plate of the other part (as in the female part of the hardware)? I only ask because I'm thoroughly confused. I ordered a replacement turnlock from Coach and just received it today; they sent me a set with grooves on the back plate of the turnlock (male) part. Reading the previous posts from the last few weeks that mention the turnlock groove, I was beginning to worry that some of my bags are fake because I found grooves behind the turnlock on two of the four. The post quoted above seems to imply it's actually the female-part-back-plate that shouldn't have grooves. Could someone please clarify? (Haha and soothe my worries about my bags' authenticity?) I love learning about the subtleties of the art of Coach authentication... and you ladies sure know your stuff!

Thank you, that's exactly what I thought but wanted some back-up.
Much appreciated.....
PS - I did get a great stewardess bag today though, I will post pics later!

thank you whateve! I thought the "limited edition" on the creed was a bit strange too. This is dinner time for us, but I told my hubby I forgot a few things at the grocery store, which is true, so while he makes salads, I'll go out and get the groceries I forgot, and this baby. Good thing stores are close by:D

Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate your time and expertise!!!
You're welcome! Congratulations! Lucky you to have stores so close and a hubby that makes salads!

I don't see any problems. After you get it, post the creed picture. If authentic, it looks like a tailored pouch from the Lightweights collection. They aren't easy to rehab.

I'm referring to the backplate of the female part. On a normal Coach turnlock, the backplate is flat. On some fakes, it is indented where the flaps fold over. It is normal for the back of the male part to be indented in the center where the pieces fold over.

Awesome, thank you for setting me straight! Haha I was getting nervous about a couple of the vintage pieces I'd picked up over the last few months. What a GREAT resource this forum and its members are!

I bought this a while back from tumbledeal.com. well, after stumbling on some reviews for the site I am very worried the bag I bought is fake. It doesn't look fake but as you awesome ladies have educated me, I can be very wrong.

If you need anymore pictures please let me know

Also confused - are the grooves the 4 clippy looking things?
