Looking to authenticate this Waverly bag (I think) found at savers. Dimensions are about 9"wide x 9" tall x 4"

Should I be worried about the spot under the flap where it seems the glue came up?

Thank you Whateve.
It looks like a Dooney and Bourke all weather bag? Any idea if it is of similar material?
Hello again,
I have been impulse buying again:sad:, saw this bag going for quite reasonable price on Ebay and the listing was ending in 20 minutes and I bid on it. Seller also accepts returns within14 days.
Comments: there is no serial number on this one, the leather feels nice and thick.
Item: Vintage tan and cream bag

It appears authentic.
Thank you Whateve.

It's similar. They were made in the early 90s. The line was called Sheridan. I don't have one of each to compare at the moment but I think the Dooney leather is a little stiffer.

Yes, it seems like it's almost the same as Dooney's All-Weather leather. I think there might have been "words" between Coach and D&B about the similarities of the leathers and styles, but I believe Coach shamelessly copied Dooney.

BeenBurned, do you have any more details or corrections? You know a lot about D&B. Coach released their first line of bags in that style in Summer 1991 as the Dakota line but I don't know when Dooney came out with theirs.

It looks like a Sheridan Glenwood, style number 4225, probably from 1992 or 1993.

I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to your questions.

Perhaps @Catbird9 can offer more insight.
