If I could get my money back should the bag turn out to be fake or misrepresented then I would definitely go for it. Also, the price has to be somewhat reasonable considering the rarity of the bag. I figure if I end up not liking the bag then I can sell it or gift it but if I didn't make a move on it and I lose out on one of my HG bags, I tend to deeply regret it. I have a short list of bags that I am willing to pay a little more for if I ever see them offered for sale. I just snagged one a few days ago: A vintage green Crosby!! I'm glad I didn't snooze and lose on this bag like I did with a burnt orange Courier I'm still mourning the loss of.....twice. I learned my lesson.
I would definitely have gone for it if it wasn’t sold “As Is”. Still I’m regretting that I didn’t take a chance. Sorry for the question but is a HG bag Holy Grail? Your green Crosby sounds awesome. Did you post it here to authenticate so I can see it? It sounds like we have similar taste. I’m on the hunt for something vintage in olive or dark green & a dark orange too!

Don't feel bad. It happens to us too.. I missed out on buying a limited edition polka dot duffle bag TWICE!

Fake. I hope you can get your money back.

I'll have to hope the dispute gods are in my favor, I need help?

Good luck! We don't recommend Poshmark because of their track record with fakes. You might have to fight them. They may not believe it is fake.

I looked at the comments. Have you referred navywife123 (Frugalista fashionista) here?

I'm sure some of us will enlighten her. Don't worry about her threat to report you to Poshmark for defamation and harassment. NAVYWIFE123 is the one who is wrong. She broke the law because she sold a fake, knowingly or not.

Sorry I'm late to the discussion so correct me if I get this wrong.
So is the seller claiming that the creed in the bag she sold will be different than the photo? She said "CREED NUMBER IS DIFFERENT BCUZ I COULDNT GET A GOOD PICTURE IF THE CREED. I WENT ON THE INTERNET TO GET A CLEARER PICTURE." If she did, that was a really dangerous thing to do since the creed photo she posted that she supposedly found on the internet is from a fake.

Trouble is, the rest of the pictures that are supposedly hers aren't showing many details, but the photos that show the strap look like it has brass buckles and silver grommets.

kwomble_2001, did you receive the bag you bought yet? Seller posted 2 days ago that it was "in the mail". We really need to see a clear photo of the creed from the actual bag you receive, along with a full-length pic of the inside zipper pocket end-to-end plus the areas between the ends of the inside zipper and the inside edges of the bag, in other words the inside zipper plus an inch or more past that. Separate pics of each side, right and left, would be ok. And can you check the back of each strap buckle to see if anything is stamped on the buckles?

If all that doesn't make sense it's probably because I'm half asleep, so I'll check back tomorrow.

PLEASE don't buy highly faked brands like Coach on Posh unless you authenticate them here BEFORE buying.

Yeah, HG is Holy Grail. We've got good taste in vintage colors! I live in the midwest and all of the fall leaves are at their peak colors right now and I think that's influencing my choice of bag colors at the moment. My Crosby was authenticated, yes. I also posted a pic in a Vintage Photos and Chat thread. It looks black in the pics though, it's hard to see the green.

Hard to say. I probably still would have bought it at that price and then just crossed my fingers that it was in decent condition.

BTW, when quoting, be sure that the quoted text is between the 2 Quote brackets [QU0TE] quoted text [/QU0TE]. (I changed the letter O to a zero to keep the QUOTE HTML from disappearing) For some reason they're getting mixed up.
I’m just a rookie at this whole auction thing so any advice from you “wise ones” is appreciated. My gut said to go for it! I won’t make that mistake again...I hope. And sorry about the messed up post before.

In my experience, ebay has been the safest bidding platform to use. I bought a fake bag once and ebay took care of everything, I never had to deal with the seller. It's our responsibility as buyers to look at photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding as far as the condition of the bag is concerned. But if there is undisclosed damage or the bag turns out to be fake, ebay is very supportive of its buyers. Also, most if not all vintage bags are sold "as is" but many of the minor issues common on vintage bags can be easily fixed with a bath and conditioning. I always check auction photos for damaged leather, broken non-replaceable hardware, and stains. Those are hard problems to fix and I won't buy those bags. But normal wear from years of use (light scratches, mild discoloration of edges) often improves with a bath and conditioning.

Ugh! I apologize. I misread or didn't fully read and understand what the seller wrote in her all caps rant!

But having shown a creed from a fake and a strap with grommets that don't match the other hardware, I'm not optimistic.

Thanks for responding.

I received the bag yesterday. The bag that I received has a different creed number than the one posted in the photo.

Here's a picture of the creed from the bag she sent.

ALthough navywife123 (Frugalista fashionista) showed a different creed picture (found on the internet) from a fake bag, the creed (and the bag you received) is also fake!

Again, refer her here is she argues.
