Lastly here is the larger (non-mini) Daypack, #9791 from 2000 I believe. I bought this at a thrift store a while ago and it seemed to be ok to me. But before I bother with fixing/replacing the turnlock and rehabbing it a bit more, I wanted to ask  I really wanted this one since I have the old school brass daypack keyfob and wanted to wear them together!

Item: Coach Daypack in black/brass from 2000
Style # 9791

You're missing the creed pic.

Oh, now you're going to try to tempt me to say something about the "stickiness" of the female vs. the male brain? Nope, not going to do it. You're a new poster so I'm going to be kind.

Yes, October is "K". There is no master list of plant codes, Coach has never released one, and the same code could be a temporary or floater code that could be used for more than one plant, since Coach sometimes would lease part or all of a non-Coach plant or production facility and assigning it a temporary code was the sensible thing to do. The letter "M" is one of those floaters and a few other letters were too. Codes could also be transferred if one plant was permanently deactivated, sometimes their code would be reassigned and sometimes not.

Plant codes are a tricky subject and every one has its own history and quirks, so we always remind everyone not to use them to prove something is authentic. The WRONG code, like the E plant code if used for any plant other than Italy, could be a major red flag, but the "right' plant code that matches the country in the creed stamp doesn't prove anything. And of course recent creeds have eliminated the country name in the creed for a sewn-in "Made In ..." tag inside the bag. There are lists of plant codes mostly for the last 15 or 20 years' production floating around on various websites but I wouldn't trust them very far. The authenticators here keep their own records of what we believe to be reasonably accurate plant codes and roughly when they would have been used, but we don't post any kind of list, it would just cause problems.

I’m actually a Charlie girl so its not male vs. female “stickiness” so I can’t use that excuse! My brain is just getting a bit vintage too but those guides are my new project.
I wish I could send you a piece of Royal Doulton with hand painted periwinkles to thank you for your help!
