I made my first trip to the Goodwill bins today, and though I didn't find any Coach bags, I did find a belt. I'm guessing they aren't faked often? But I thought I might see if y'all thought this was authentic. Thanks!

Item: black leather belt
Seller: local Goodwill Outlet

The belt looks fine.

I think I can count on one hand the number of fake belts I've seen but it never hurts to verify purchases.

So who exactly is this "lorac2015"? She's apparently a tPF member or at least a frequent reader, and some of her buyers' names in the Comments look like tPFers too. She seems to be the unofficial head of the Fakes Police at PM so it's pretty ironic that she has a few clunkers listed, but she apparently spends enough time here to have picked up what we've posted about indented turnlocks and even magnetic snaps.

What's p!ssing me off is that she's selling several "tutorials" that include some or all of the Daria48 Fakes List. She lists them for ridiculous prices but with a Make Offer button. AFAIK both Daria's and my guides should be considered copyrighted items, the Daria list more so maybe than the Hyacinth guides, and I don't appreciate anyone SELLING something that I put a lot of time and effeort into creating. I don't know if she's doing the same with any of the Salearea Guides. Like BB mentioned, she's apparently not honest enough to credit the original author of the Fakes List either.
It's common practice on Posh for sellers to post info (including receipts, tracking info) or even a reserved item to list at ridiculously high prices so no one buys them. It's a way of sharing on Posh as Posh doesn't have a dashboard or any way to pin anything for everyone to see. They should be set as "not for sale" in the availability. However I don't think they show up to buyers when they are browsing so they remain active as AVAILABLE which appears as a for sale item. They aren't actually for sale.

My cynical authentication goddesses -
So, I need this like a hole in the head, however the price is dreamy....just nothing came up with the serial number. I thought perhaps it was a pocket purse...

1- Genuine, from 1995. Whoever stamped it at the plant made a mistake with the number

2- it appears to be genuine but if you can get a clearer photo of the creed and serial number when you get it and post it as a Reply to this post, we can be sure.

Good to know, thanks.
