Didnt someone want a few Bonnie Cashin bags authenticated last week..bought from an estate sale...wonder if its the same sale?
I wonder too. I know that about 478 bags sold before I got these leftovers. The guy said his aunt had 500 Coach purses, I have to believe she had some truly amazing bags with that serious of a collection and her obvious eye for style and authenticity. She even knew that her collection wasn't complete without a fake Willis...ha ha ha!

I've been thinking about this comment after watching the fascinating parade of vintage finds that Morgan posted over the last week, and my guess is that whoever was running the estate sale most likely wasn't a Coach aficionado, and likely put out the best-looking, best-condition bags for the main estate sale, which were also probably more contemporary -- and possibly less valuable in the end, though they were likely priced higher at the sale than the ones Morgan got. Pure speculation on my part as I've never actually been to an estate sale. If the nephew had seen what some vintage lots go for on shopgoodwill.com he might have re-thought his strategy here. What a scoop for Morgan though!
He said most of her bags were new so I assumed contemporary too. It must have been so exciting for any Coachies who were lucky enough to have gone to that sale!

Hmmm. I'm soliciting opinions on this one! I will say I definitely wouldn't recommend buying but wouldn't report at this point.

The ribbon fabric looks like this fake stuff that I've seen on Etsy and Chinese websites for years.

I wouldn't report it either.

The "limited edition" and number with it don't make any sense, but I remember all the Scribble pieces that the outlets had during that period too. There's just no way to know.

ETA - One of the Summer 2005 catalogs has a Thermos bottle with a fabric wrapper and the same 2 brass Coach snaps that are on the wristband. Like I said, they did a TON of Scribble stuff especially in those colors. And who can forget the picnic set? And yes, all the fake bikinis.

I ran across this bag while “vintage shopping” today. There is no creed or serial number. Just the “coach lozenge” imprinted on the leather divider inside the bag. Could it be from a pre-creed time?
(If so, it’s in amazing shape for such an old bag!)

It's authentic, made in the early 70s.

Oh, yeah! The bikinis. Size XL wouldn't fit a third grader!

BINGO !!!!!!!!

I'm really sorry that I don't have a scanner, but a 4.5x7 inch Japanese catalog I bought years ago has the answer. It's from Brand Mall Mini, and all the items in it are genuine, I haven't seen a clinker in the entire 121pages. It's from late 2007 and unfortunately unlike most of the bags and other accessories there's no recognisable style number and I don't read Japanese but it's on page 111 in Hats And Accessories, the only Western script is "L21xW3.5", 21 cm is approx 8 inches, and "limited edition" which doesn't help much. But I'd say it's genuine, maybe Japan-only.

Wow! I'm shocked but glad it's genuine.

If you have a camera/phone and can send me a picture to my email, I'll post it.
