Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows the style name for this Coach bucket bag?

No, it was discussed here in the ID Forum several weeks ago and no one can find a record of that number although we have a good idea what "family" it was part of. In fact, YOU were the one who asked the question. I'm not sure why you're asking the same thing 3 weeks later?

The authenticators DO read and post in both threads.

I want to thank you ladies for taking the time to look and zoom and look again... LOL, at the creed picture. You saved me from wasting money and a possible headache on top.
Hyacinth, whateve and BeenBurned, you are awesome!

Keeping people from getting ripped off from buying fakes is what we do best!

"Unique" colors on classic leather bags always need a close and careful look. Too many buyers fall in love with an unusual color and don't study the bag's actual details. Buying any Coach without a readable creed and serial number picture is never a good idea.

Kind authenticators, when you have the time could you please take a look at this? TIA

Item: Coach Vintage Leather bag
Listing number: 11509628714
Seller: Georgia Girl

Comments: I did some searches and looked in my catalogs and I can find similar color on newer ones, not one from 1999. (The creed is better when zoomed in, but still not totally clear. If real, I would love to buy this.
Without quoting all the other posts on this bag from Georgia Girl, I have a warning.

While it's very possible that the listing in question could have been an "honest" mistake, there are other listings that it's pretty obvious that Georgia Girl did not verify!

Beware of GEORGIA GIRL on MERCARI.

Is this a misprint? The plant code is M but says it’s made in Costa Rica. Wow, the creed looks so real!

Item: vintage Abbie
Seller: kindlycurated

There's a very good reason for that. It IS real. The M plant code was a floater and was assigned wherever it was needed.

BTW, that's mentioned in one of the Salearea Guides - time for a re-read maybe?

Comments: I was just reading some back posts and ran across an authentication request for a red willis F13-9927, and It looked familiar, and then I figured out why.

I purchased the bag in this listing H13-9927 and another black/nickel willis off Ebay, which was authentic, but I returned it because of damage to the buckle. I must have gotten them mixed up and accidentally put the "authenticated" tag from the Ebay one on the GW one. I searched my previous posts, and I don't think I got this bag authenticated.

I also search this thread and found another request for a red H13-9927, that was authentic, but the pictures aren't available.

Although the red one in the request below is F13-9927 and mine is H13-9927, they are from the same plant and year, just a couple months apart, is that right? I notice that the 1's and the "No" with the underscore are different. The "coach" at the top of the creed also looks different, but as far as I can see, the font inside the creed looks identical, even the way i'ts all kind of smooshed together. The hardware and construction of the GW bag looks the same compared side by side with an already authenticated (I double checked) black/brass one I have. Im hoping this is a case of the plant using recycled stamps from other plants or something like that, but I'm nervous.

I would love an experts opinion super please and super thank you!

Edit: Im also noticing the tail of the 9's are different and possibly the 2 and 7, but I can't tell if its just the angle of photography, so I dunno...

Here are the creeds for posterity and to save you some clicking.

Almost every creed from that plant and year seems to have a few small differences when compared to any other one. We don't make decisions on authenticity based only on creeds and serial numbers. There's a lot of variation in new plants sometimes and Coach may very well have been cobbling together bits and pieces from older or retired stamps, especially serial number stamps. And it wasn't just the "3" plant, other newly opened Chinese plants also show a lot of small differences in 2000 and 2001 during their first year or two of production.

The details of the black Willis in the first link seem OK but I'd like to see the back of the turnlock where the prongs hold that backing plate on.

Thank you, @Hyacinth, for looking at it, here is a picture of the back of the turn-lock
and the back of the opening for the turn-lock.

it's authentic. They may have had more than one stamp at the factory, or changed stamps during the intervening months.
