Please follow the following requests:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read

I've never seen that union stamp on a Coach product. The lining definitely looks like Bonnie Cashin but I don't know if she was the exclusive user of it. I've seen vintage Coach wallets that are stamped "top grain cowhide" in gold but not "glove tanned cowhide" like yours. Are the hinges stamped with a B? Is there anything on the snap?

There is nothing on the hinges. The snap has an imprint around the nipple looks like "RAU-KLIKIT-".

We would need pictures of the entire bag to try and tell if it was authentic. And newer Coach leathers aren't as nice as the older ones so that's not something we can depend on when authenticating.

Did you read the forum's FAQs section on how to post pics? If they're too big they won't post. You may have to use an editing feature or program to downsize them a bit.

Are there any outside pockets? And what does the long strap look like?

It's genuine but the photos don't tell me what style it is. Maybe a Basic Bag but we need to see the long strap.

During a certain period of time, Coach used hardware made by a company whose logo was an anchor. My basic bag from the same time period as yours has anchors stamped into the brass. They are tiny and hard to see if the brass is tarnished. It really makes no difference if they are there or not; it is just something those of us in the vintage club get excited about. Here is a picture. On my basic bag, they are in a different place, just above the swivel.

Yes, that is correct. It is an authentic Dakota Cartwright. I think that is fantastic price too.
