Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Genuine. The second half of the serial number is actually 22421M, the M indicates it was specially made for one of Coach's retail partners, possibly Macy's, who may have had the exclusive to the pebbled leather version since the standard version was just smooth leather. The name of the smooth leather version was Poppy Leather Perri Hippie so add "pebbled" in front of the word "leather" and that's probably as good a guess of its name as I can think of.

It's not necessary to repost, especially when a request is made in the middle of the night.

Please be patient and allow 12-24 hours for a reply if a post is missed. Keep in mind that we volunteer here in our own free time and between family, jobs, obligations, and every day life, we can't always answer immediately. Sometimes the person who may know a particular style may not be online at the time of your post or she may have to research (and invest more of her own time) to give you accurate advice. That is what you want, right?

ETA: It's probably fine, though as you said, the strap isn't original to the bag. (YKK or whatever zipper brand is on the bag is irrelevant.)

Hello!
I purchased several bags off of Poshmark & Mercari while sleep-shopping (the more expensive form of sleep-walking). I was able to figure out that 2 were fakes thanks to this incredible forum, but I’m still unsure of 3 of them - I’d much appreciate your help with any of them, as I realize 3 is a big ask! FWIW, as someone who used to work in shoe repairs, I am confident they are all actually leather.
