UPDATE:
Now that it's been removed, watch for the fake Disney jacket to be listed by one or more of another seller, part of the same scamming ring.

Beware of low feedback sellers from NY, NY with:
  • private listings
  • feedback built by leaving feedback for each other
  • stock/stolen pictures
  • Aside from seller feedback from each other, other feedbacks each ID has are all from Chinese sellers.
In addition to the 6 IDs named above that mentioned earlier, I found 12 additional active sellers!

Thanks! I figured they were shady but don't know the ins and outs of seeing if they have aliases.

In any case for the price I decided to buy this item last month. They answered questions promptly but were shady nonetheless, I always felt they were lying. The product shipped very late. The shipping label was created right away but they said it would ship in 10 days, at day 10 pinged them since it hadn't shipped. They said it was a mixup and my jacket went to canada (I thought it was odd they sent an email about saving me customs charges) It arrived about two weeks later (I sweated this out but had eBay buyer protection) It arrived and if its a fake its a very good one. The quality and patches are as authentic looking as my NASA jacket that I bought at full retail price from Coach. Yes the creed and tags are Dark Fairytale and are odd as hell but again its a very good fake to me and I'm happy with it. I've looked closely at an instagramer's legit version of this jacket and it really looks identical.

Here is my theory. It's not a fake, its a "seconds" from the chinese factory and they are illegally selling them. And they are shipping from overseas first before they get shipped from the united states. (the long shipping time made me suspect that) It has one very minor flaw in one of the embroidered dots but it doesn't bother me. It even has the nice inside pocket so it doesn't look like they cut corners.

Hi everyone!
Assume this one is fake but would appreciate your expert opinion.
What I’m seeing: wrong outside zipper & inside zipper pull. Strap is lumpy, looks fake.
Thanks!
You are correct.

The seller also has this fake with a known invalid serial number, GAD-4437:

and she sold this fake:

@whateve @Hyacinth: Please look at this one from shop4you!

Your theory is wrong.

I have no doubt that the jacket is fake as are the patches and most of the Nasa items I've studied online.

As for the seller of your FAKE jacket, I also found 38 other IDs from the same scamming ring.

So you know, there's no such thing as "seconds from a chinese factory." That's a BS explanation given by counterfeiters as to how they "source" their items.

If you're happy with the jacket, that's great.

Without preaching, I recommend you do a bit of research on the counterfeit industry, the working conditions, how the money is used and see if you still feel comfortable.

A good place to start that will require little effort is to watch a youtube video with Dana Thomas who wrote Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Luster. (On a personal note, I literally got sick after reading parts of her book.)
Dana Thomas: "Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster" | Talks at Google ...

ETA: And because this is on my mind, I'll post it. While I'm sorry for spending a ton of time trying to help someone who still decided to buy a fake from a scammer (or rather, a group of scammers), the hours it took me to put together my list of related IDs will have been worth it if the seller @AstroLiz bought from as well as the other fraudulent sellers are banned from ebay.

It's authentic. Italy was one of the plants in operation before 1994 when plant codes weren't used. It was probably made 1992-1993.

Thank you!

Update: I bought it! Treated myself to an early bday gift! Had great conversation with the seller too, she honestly had trouble finding the reg number and was super helpful and accomodating when I reached out for more info. It even came with a Coach dust bag! Thanks everyone who helped!

Sorry I already purchased in my eagerness, but was hoping for an authentication before I go through with & share the rehab on here. I added the following pictures I have taken. It is hard to see but the hardware the connects the top handles to the purse has Coach stamped (or embossed?) into it - this was very hard to photograph. The catalog picture mentions 2 inside pockets and the only pockets shown are the one with the zipper & the creed (it pulls out & was used as a pocket as well).Bottom width.jpg Coach on hardware.jpg Creed 1.jpg Creed 2.jpg Gramercy hangtag.jpg Side width.jpg Top width.jpg handles.jpg Catalog.jpg

it's authentic.

They're counting both the zippered pocket and the open pocket with the creed stamped on it.

I STRONGLY urge you to pay very close attention to the post BeenBurned made in answer to yours.

"Factory seconds" is BULLCR@P. Any item sold as a "second" would, if not destroyed first, be sold through Coach's usual factory channels and CLEARLY marked in some permanent way so that no warranty claims or refunds due to the mistakes would be honored. I hope you will have the clarity to understand that you've been cheated, and in the same way we've seen it happen to others here before. The crooks like your seller(s) tell a good story but every detail of the transaction including shipping delays is part of their modus operandi to mke it harder for buyers to realize what kind of crooks they've dealt with and file claims with Ebay, Paypal or their credit card company in a timely manner and within the time limits of those companies.

If you'd rather believe their lies and accept being scammed, that's your decision. Just remember that you're supporting a network of criminals. Watch the video BeenBurned mentioned, I have owned the book it originally appeared in and the details still disgust and anger me as much today as they did more than 10 years ago when I first read it. "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem".

BTW, if you try to resell it, you're NOT just aiding and abetting a felony since selling counterfeits is a federal offense, you're COMMITTING one.

Item: Hamilton 11086 Carryall in British Tan
Bought this used Hamptons 11086 bag on Poshmark. Everything *seems* to look right, except for one thing that has me questioning things...when the bag arrived it had a Coach brochure in it...printed in CHINESE. Now, I know the Hamilton line (or at least some of it) was made in China, but didn't know of the brochure meant this was a fake?
