I know it's quite a few bags to authenticate, but I really appreciate it!

The first and third ones look genuine, although the third one is actually a Court Bag, not a Willis.

The second one, the Companion Flap, has several small discrepancies in both the creed/serial number area and on the strap itself. I'm not saying it's fake but there are things about it that make it impossible to say it's genuine. I personally wouldn't buy it based on what I'm seeing.

ETA - there might be a problem with the turnlock too but I'd want to see a close-up or at least a bigger picture of the back of the plate.

I'd just added that to my comments before I saw your post - great minds think alike.

It's hard to see them clearly but there seems to be a reflection from the grooves on several sides. And the shorter end of the strap is quite a bit longer than it should be compared to the other ones listed. Add to that the creed placement and slight puffiness and the problems with the serial font.

Hi there-- Ok I don't buy much on eBay except when I stumble across something I can't resist like this one! Could someone please authenticate this listing which I already did a BIN. There is no creed photo and I have requested one from the seller before she sends it but is this style faked much? I did a google search and only found a couple photos but I've tracked it down to this:

Buyers tend to avoid initialed bags like the plague. If you are keeping it for yourself then you should be fine providing you post the photo of this Field Bag.

maramd and I live near each other, so I know she's not finding much around here. I rarely do. IF I do find something at a thrift store, it's usually way overpriced. Going to the fancy Lakeside School Rummage Sale this weekend though - maybe I'll get lucky there!

So it's not just me? i have found a few newer bags at Value Village and on occasion a vintage bag at Goodwill. Slim pickings around here for sure! Good luck at the rummage sale!

I know Goodwill does. Planning on an excursion there one of these days. I' m not sure about Value Village. If there is, that's another stop! There are lot of resale shops in Seattle too. Went to some with a friend that came to visit....just before I got the vintage Coach bug!

I've shopped at the Goodwill warehouses and never found much. Sometimes you can find straps. This is the stuff that doesn't sell at the regular stores so it has been picked over. I never found any major brands. Everything is piled onto tables and it is kind of gross digging through it.

I bid on the white one early on but backed off because something did not seem right! Let us know if you get the Court bag and how you were able to clean it up! I am learning so much from all of you. . . thank you!!
